    A Grave Mistake [ARCHIVED] Header%203_zpsdacfq4pu

"You're becoming soft. Everyone can tell. You're getting to attached to the damn elf. She's your slave, not your lover. She's clouding your mind. Does she have you under some sort of spell or something? Xavier, look at yourself! Can you not see it!?" The passed two weeks have been driving Xavier absolutely nuts. His men have been criticizing him, wondering what the hell he was thinking. He was treating Sehlirr better than he was treating them. He wasn't beating her when she messed up and smiled as if her screw ups were cute. Sehlirr wasn't 'learning' anything. It also pissed his men off that their own slaves were showing obvious signs of jealousy. A few slaves were even asking their owners why they couldn't be treated like Sehlirr was. Xavier was actually struggling because of this. He wasn't able to figure out what he was doing, what he was feeling, or what he was thinking. He was confused.

There were a few times that he tried to act like normal. He began hesitating and almost forcing out punishments that he didn't even think were necessary. There was one time that she spilled a glass after tripping over some laundry and he acted like he was going to hit her, but that fear she had made him stop. He punched the wall beside her head instead and just moved her over to the bed. It seemed that was he was of apologizing. If he scared her, hurt her, or anything like that, he ended up doing what he could to make up for it by having sex with her and making sure he was able to throw her into ecstasy. His mind was obviously running at a mile a minute and his men were not helping. Ilnae had actually tried helping him some times, but it only angered him. He didn't need the help of some slave! At least that's what he thought until he remembered that she was good friends with Sehlirr.

He asked Ilnae for some advice and on what he was feeling any time when Sehlirr was gone. The men also noticed that even though he currently had two slaves, he only used Sehlirr. They found it unfair that he just had one sitting there and were also confused on why he allowed them to become close friends. Wasn't Sehlirr supposed to make a decision on Ilnae a week ago anyway? Why was she still here? Or had the decision already been made? Xavier found himself avoiding his men quite a lot now. He kept in his room, didn't drink, and only ate when Sehlirr brought him food. He still governed his men like normal, kicking their asses when they said something he didn't like, but that didn't mean their words weren't bothering him. And on this day, Xavier was laying in bed and staring up at the ceiling, deep in thought while Sehlirr and Ilnae were allowed to, once again, do whatever they wanted.

Sehlirr wasn't out gathering food. She wasn't out to run away either. Sehlirr wasn't going to run away at this point. She was bound to Xavier and she owed him now. He had saved her life twice in a row. She couldn't just abandon him—or his dick—at this point. At this point, Sehlirr had forgotten that there was a free life out there. She was bought by Xavier, and he had treated her well lately. Very well, more than any other slave even. The sudden change in behavior was enough to make Sehlirr forget about Ilnae and the fact that her fate rested the dark elf's hands.

That was until today. Sehlirr was out in the forest, thinking. She had to figure out what to do with Ilnae. But first, she had to ask if she still had that right. Maybe Xavier took it away. She didn't know. She made grunts of annoyance as she sat down on a stump, her hands supporting her chin. Her face was almost in a pout. Thought ran through her head. The number one thought was what Xavier thought of her. She was his slave, right? There shouldn't be anything else between them. And yet... The sex they've had lately was more intense. It was more passionate. He had actually kissed her. He'd gently grab and rub her breasts rather than yank at them. They had even tried the position known as "69" once. Sehlirr didn't like it that much.

The dark elf sighed and was about to stand up to return to Xavier's side once more. She liked being there for him. She didn't realize that this was harming her master. But as she attempted to, a root from the tree sprung up and wrapped around her ankle. She fell face-first into the ground and she looked back. That was when she noticed that the stump was turning all-black. Some of the other roots sprung up and began wriggling their way towards her. She tried to kick at it, but it only seemed to anger the beast...

The jungle.  Pheh, more like a glorified forest.  What was even interesting about this place anyway?  Monsters?  They died to easily.  Animals?  The dangerous ones are small and slippery, making them more annoying than exciting.  With a sigh, Aeltril resigned herself to her fate.  Who was Aeltril?  Aeltril the Avenger.  Aeltril the Hero.  Aeltril the Villain.  No, she was an incredibly bored Dark Elf.  Why was she bored?  It was practically a medical condition at this point.  She had traveled to the jungle hearing these places were usually dangerous, but aside from waking up next to a venomous Koala bug, which while adorable is still a venous bug that happens to look like a tiny koala bear, nothing had really happened.  There wasn't too much excitement in a small bug trying to poison her.  I mean it gave her a momentary rush, but within 10 minutes it'd be gone.  Aeltril packed up her small makeshift camp.  She had a magical bag given to her by a human she had rescued in a, failed mind you, attempt to have a bit of fun.  She stored up her food, a rather large tent, fire making supplies, torches, and some other standard equipment for adventuring.  She was also quite wealthy, she could probably purchase an expensive home and BRIBE people not to disturb her if she wanted.  Her quest to alleviate boredom ends well quite often financially.  One time a slaver tried to enslave her, George von Snoot, and she gutted him and found a sizable amount of funds on him.  Sometimes she accidentally kills bounties and gets the reward.  Sometimes she just gets rewarded for helping people.  Actually, she got some of her adventuring gear off a traveler who had a bunch of it on his corpse, along with some silver.  Sometimes she tried to earn the money so she could get what she pleased.

Once she finally finished disassembling her camp, she decided it was time to move onto equally brown pastures.  After all, what fun could she possibly fail to find there that she hasn't failed to find already?  Strapping her sword to her hip so she wouldn't have to keep it in her hand.  She began to travel.  Maybe Cieria?  She heard that place was hell on earth.  Sounds less abysmal.  She began her travels, but quickly saw an animal.  Food.  She promptly killed it, set up a fire, cooked it, ate it, and then moved on.  Funny thing was it was twice her size, quite the appetite the "young" elf had.  She cleaned the blade and continued on her way before she heard something.  It sounded like a struggle.  Ugh, great more disappointment!  Still she was gonna be more bored walking, so she ran over to where she heard the noise and she saw...wait is she seeing right?  A black trees tump was assaulting...another dark elf?  She hadn't seen another dark elf since she left her clan.  Huh weird, interesting, actually a change of pace.  Somehow Aeltril liked the odds, for once.  So...first priority, kill the tree.  "This place would actually be more interesting if every tree was one of these things."  Aeltril dropped her bag and pulled out her sword, a beautiful white sword with a very menacing looking hilt.  She should probably help the poor girl first and foremost.  She had few morals, but she wasn't a dick.  Rushing forward, she slashed the root that held the girl, forcing it to go limp, and leaving the girl free to build distance.

The beast didn't take long to try and whip it's tentacle-like roots at Aeltril.  Skillfully, and artfully, she dodged all but one of them, receiving a slight cut in the process.  She gave it a look that shouted "ya done?" before it wrapped one of the roots around her free arm.  She had only a small cut, so she didn't have much of a boost.  Still as it tried to pull her to the ground she didn't budge, and quickly chopped off that root too.  This thing wasn't doing much for her, so she was pretty much done with it.  She raised up her sword, and charged it.  In a flurry of artful, precise, and very powerful strikes found the gel coating of the stump being lacerated.  The beast reeled back and tried to escape, but Aeltril would have none of it.  She chopped off all the roots it used for motion, before slashing again and again and again.  The thing was eventually so shredded and dead, most of what was left was the stump it had possessed.  "That settles that."  She said as she returned her blade to her hip, looking at the cut in her arm and muttering in elven.  The girl she saved, if she did indeed know elven, wouldn't be able to make out what she said though.  It was just a mutter of annoyance anyway.  The beautiful dark elf turned to...this girl was a slave.  She already saw one of Pierre the Mustache's collars.  She liked Pierre's mustache, so she didn't try to kill him when he encountered her.  Actually, she almost considered getting a slave from him once.  Still, she knew she'd end up trying to make the slave happy with no guarantee she'd end up happy as a result so she told him she might be interested some other time.  "You okay?  Pierre the mustache probably put you through worse, but what do I know.  Bleeding anywhere?"  She didn't even bother with proper introductions, she just knew what she was dealing with.  Again, she wasn't a dick, so she would help this girl if she was seriously injured or something.  Besides...she was curious.

To be honest, the black stump was not a creature she had seen before. The thing was effectively a parasite, living on the decaying matter of a long-dead three. But it was too small of a creature to even attempt to eat Sehlirr. In fact, it wasn't even hungry right now. It was just angry that something sat on it. Sehlirr continued to kick the mass of dead tree.

But have you ever actually hit a tree with your body? See, they don't give way. They're tough, but most of all, they're heavy and dense. The average human just doesn't have the strength to do anything to a tree. It's one reason we invented axes and then saws. We can't do anything to the tree ourselves, but if we can split off parts of them, then there's no problem.

And that was why Sehlirr wasn't doing a damn thing to the black stump. In fact, she felt something twist in her foot as she let out a stronger kick. She yelped in pain. That seemed to have caught the attention of a passerby. Sehlirr heard the snapping of fallen twigs and leaves, and she turned her head to see the source. Her eyes went wide and she couldn't help but to stare. It was another dark elf.

The newcomer swung at the tree, freeing Sehlirr's leg. She dug at the ground and pulled herself away. She didn't see most of the fight unfortunately. Sehlirr was too busy propping herself against another tree. She looked down at her ankle and could see it swelling already. That wouldn't be good. She couldn't serve Xavier if her foot was fucked up.

The new elf spoke up in concern. Sehlirr didn't try to stand. She just stared at the lady. She looked familiar, although Sehlirr couldn't place her. When she mentioned Pierre, Sehlirr knew one thing. That lady already knew she was a slave. That was a weight off of her shoulders. Now she didn't have to conceal that. "I'm not bleeding, no... I do think I've hurt my ankle though."

Sehlirr tried to stand, but immediately buckled. "I can't walk like this... If I'm not back when he calls for me..." Sehlirr looked worried, and then to the new elf. "Please, you have to take me to my home. I can be treated there, I think. I also think that Master might reward you for saving me." With the elf's help, Sehlirr was able to make it back to the Hall. Ilnae saw Sehlirr and noticed that she looked hurt. She ran to Xavier's bedroom and knocked. "Master, Sehlirr has returned and she looks to be injured..."

The girl's ankle had begun to swell up by the time Aeltril went to look at it.  That wasn't good, she guessed.  Admittedly she knew it wasn't good, but a swollen ankle was a problem she last had when she was a child.  If she ever got one nowadays, she might not even notice.  She feels stronger once injured anyway.  The slave stated that she wasn't bleeding, but pointed out the obvious fact that it was injured.  Especially when she tried to stand on it, he ankle gave way.  "I'm not an expert on crippling injuries, seriously I'm not, but you shouldn't stand on that.  It'll only make it worse."  The girl had mentioned not being back when he called for her, he being most likely her master.  Tends to be how slavery works anyway.  Sehlirr most likely didn't mean she'd be beaten or anything, but Aeltril had no way of knowing that.  In fact it sounded like she'd be beaten.  Well that seemed like an unnecessary waste of energy.  She was injured, it wasn't even like there'd be a challenge to make it interesting.  On top of that even Aeltril wouldn't just beat someone.  Well maybe she would, but usually they did something legitimate to piss her off.    The girl asked her to take her home, so she could be treated.  She thinks.  "You think?  You think?  You don't seem sure.  Still I can't just leave you here...I guess.  Lets get you up and moving."  Aeltril positioned the girl to the side her sword arm was on.  She'd rather not have the blade rub against her somehow, it was kinda sharp.  She was gonna aid her so she still had to use one leg...but wouldn't that take longer?  Nah, bad idea.  Too long, too much room for dullness.  "I'm Aeltril, and hold on."

Aeltril left the slave for a moment and grabbed her stuff, setting the bag to hang to her side.  Coming back she just suddenly wrapped her arms around the slave and lifted her up until she was in her arms princess style.  "This will be faster, now hold on."  Aeltril noticed that the girl was kinda pretty.  She wasn't too surprised, her clan's females had some surprisingly good genes, but somehow she noticed it on this one.  Maybe it was the close proximity.  "Which way?"  Once the girl pointed, Aeltril would begin traveling in that direction at a speed walk pace.  "You seem familiar, though it might just be the lack of Dark Elves I've seen lately."  She stated, convinced that really was all it was.  This girl.  She was a slave, yet believed her master would reward Aeltril for helping her.  Deluded?  Or...  She wondered if this girl somehow gained the fondness of her master, it'd make her interesting indeed.  Ah but these thoughts wouldn't get her anywhere, not like she was gonna buy her off her current Master.  Though she did have the money, and her need for something to take the dullness out of life was growing daily.  She had rejected purchasing a slave in the past due to seeing that as a desperate measure, but maybe it was a needed measure?  She shook the thought from her head for now.  There were no guarantees, and she'd rather not get her hopes up too high for a change of the monotonous pace of life.

"Is that the place?"  She asked upon arriving, and upon confirmation brought her up.  Someone who appeared to be another slave noticed and ran off.  "Why hello to you to."  Aeltril said slightly sarcastically, though she wasn't really bugged by it.  She wanted to not say hello it really made no difference.  Just a random woman she had never seen and would likely never see again soon enough.  Aeltril placed the slave down where there was a place to sit and waited for this Master of hers to come out.  Aeltril wasn't expecting anything as this was an owner, not a slaver, but he knew how many of these people worked.  She was female, and she was pretty.  That was all that mattered.  If this man tried to enslave her she wouldn't hesitate to end him.  However, no need to pull out her blade unless it did actually come to that.
