Osynian Hierarchy
Oysnius is one of the largest countries on Aurora. It is ruled by a Grand Bishop, who is also in control of the Order of Colrath. The Order of Colrath is the only religion allowed within Osynius. The Order is directly tied to the government of Osynius. Each settlement with over 50 people in it is required to have a church. The church is then assigned a Bishop from its townfolk to serve as a mayor and head of the church. Osynius's government is a monarchy under the control of the Grand Bishop, who acts as the 'voice, ears, and hands' of Colrath. The Grand Bishop has absolute authority on both state and religious manners, giving him power that no other sovereign has. Osynius's military is known as the Dragon Templars. They are holy knights dedicated to serving Osynius and the Order of Colrath. The Dragon Templars are broken down into Orders, such as the Order of Nargundin. They are not allowed to use force against a dragon, unless it is to be a mercy killing. They are the most zealous of the Order of Colrath, although they must answer to any Bishop. Only the Lord Templar has authority equal to a Bishop.
