"Shiiiiiin," Lydia whined, "I'm tireeeed." This was the fourth day of their walk, and thankfully Lydia had the sense to pack shoes meant for working in her backup wardrobe. Despite his protests, Lydia begged him to travel at night. There'd be fewer (if any) constables, and they'd be able to hide a lot more easily. Plus she was a vampire and she couldn't go out in the sun, but that wasn't a detail he was privvy to. Despite them only walking for three nights, Lydia was still tired. Most of it was that she wanted to let her feet soak in hot water. A hot bath sounded orgasmic right now.
"There's a tavern up ahead. It doesn't look like there's many people there... Let's take a rest for the night, please? Let's just relax and, well, treat ourselves. We've been doing nothing but walking these past few nights. The least we can do is take a night off. Pleaaasseeee?" Lydia's eyes were begging him to say yes. Once he finally did, she'd wrap around him in a tight hug. Lydia took off to the inn, and immediately sat down at the bar. There, thankfully, were only a couple of patrons in the tavern. A bard played lute in the corner, providing a homely atmosphere.
"Shin, I have to admit something to you. I lied when I said I had no money." Lydia looked embarrassed. "I don't have much, but I have enough for a room here, a meal, and a few drinks. I thought you'd be more inclined to help if you thought I didn't have any money, sorry. It was wrong, I know." The tavern-keep smiled at her and asked what she wanted. She ordered only a little bit of food. "And... I'll take a bottle of that," she pointed, "whisky. Shin, you'll share with me, right?" Lydia had those pleading eyes again as she poured her a glass, then looked to pour him one...
