Personality: A firm believer in equality and balance, he feels that if someone’s willing to do something to you, then they should be prepared to take what they gave. If one was to speak kindly to him, then he would speak kindly back - and vice versa. If someone was to attack him in a form of anger, then he would defend himself with some form of anger back, although most likely without the same strength and proper rage behind it - one who knows Daigoro personally knows him as a greatly benevolent individual, who rarely tries to harm others without very good reason. Upon meeting him for the first time, one’s first impressions can be quite good—Dai is easy to trust those he meets, but also quite quick to change his opinion on someone, depending on their actions. If he does not mind you, his face will be a kindly one. Anything else will bring forth a neutral expression.
Daigoro has a rather crazy ideal. His ideal is that all life upon this planet, and within all the realms, is equal. All lives are to be saved, unless they have chosen to act in a way that doesn’t allow their existence; ‘evil’ people do not get the chance at retribution, unless they have proven that they will attempt to fix their ways. He defines 'evil' as someone who does harm to others for their own purposes, or for the sake of doing harm. He doesn't try to choose who lives and dies—he hates the idea of judging the fate of another being on the same level—however, he will always choose to protect those that he cares about with far more strength than he would, if he were attempting to protect someone that was not close to him. Innocents and the weak will always be an exception to that scale. He refuses to act upon menial accusations, finding them ‘petty’ and ‘worthless’
It is unwise to call how Daigoro acts to be 'with honor'. Although he will refuse to be the first to strike down a man from the behind, it does not mean that he will treat all targets the same way. Everything that is an enemy, is an enemy. He belives in 'righteous retribution', and will treat his target the way that it chooses to treat him. One who will strike him from the rear will be given the same--and one who will bow before him and give him every respect needed before a fight will be treated with the respect that has been given. As a proponent of the Sun's radiance, he will grant those willing to surrender treatment that they are welcome to, rather than destroying their hearts and minds. He has known Hell and would rather not grant that to others, for it would bring him naught but pain. Orders are orders, yet he will be very resistant to orders that go against his morals, honor and duty to himself.
The best kinds of dreams are the unattainable kind; and Dai’s dream is no exception. His dream, having being built up through his life, has grown to be a wish for peace. He wants to stop the wars, end the struggles, and attempt to have all life live in harmony with one-another, rather than attempting to kill each other. He believes that all beings have the power to do such a thing, and will often try and convince them as such if he feels like he can. He knows that some have a deep-seated evil, however. He is not naïve: he already knows that this dream is completely impossible. He already knows that justice will not prevail, and that they will have to become Demons to kill those Demons at their gates. He has already made this choice, but that dream is what lights up his battles.
When he is researching something, be it a person or a phenomenon, he will follow any lead that he is given. He says that, instead of losing a good lead, he will always follow what he is given. Even if the lead was a wild goose chase for him, and he wasted his time doing it, it will always be worth it to him. He also likes to be alone with his thoughts a lot of the time, often avoiding large crowds to simply read a book underneath a tree, or even just meditate.
Daigoro also has a hefty air of nonchalance, almost boredom, about him. It's not the same as this “arrogance”, but it's rather similar. If you take a first look at him, he doesn't appear to care. In fact, it almost always seems that way. However, it is not quite as simple as that. He tends to wear his emotions on his sleeves, but he has learned to control himself enough that he keeps calm when he has to. His face will almost always tell you everything that he’s feeling at the time, however. He is definitely very calm and deliberate, and difficult to anger. However, once he finally brings forth his anger, it will pour from him as a waterfall, catching all who deserve such a fate in its torrent. He is very, very good at bottling up his emotions--anger simply pours them all forth and destroys everything in his path.
He is also generally sarcastic and joking, however he is never malicious towards someone unless he sees some side of them that he doesn't like. He automatically locks onto the good within people, no matter whom they are, and will reject somebody if he sees no retrievable good in their heart. His one dream is peace, as mentioned before, and he will do anything to make that goal possible - except for merciless or undeserved killing. Daigoro's mental and physical will is also at an amazing level; and if he was to be told that there were insurmountable odds against him... he'd still press on. He’d stand there, take whatever came at him, and yet he would make sure that he survived to live for another day. If he has something to live for, he will refuse to allow himself to die.
Background
Background: There is a small temple in the middle of Arcadia, one that has kept the secrets of a powerful understanding of Arcana for decades. While Rydian and the Arcadian royalty may know of them, pretty much nobody else does. As a result, this is one of the best-guarded secrets in Arcadian history. The power of 'Wordcasting', or invoking the essence of Arcana through the usage of certain words that embody the power. Daigoro's family has guarded this for as long as they can recall. They have kept to their temple and their town, not wanting to leave in case someone were to discover their secrets--or worse, kill the only person who can use them. For Daigoro, however, he could not simply stand by and watch this occur. He did not want to live his life trapped. He was told that he had to stay, that it was his duty. And his only reply was 'no'. He left the next day, never to return home--at least not until he had a successor to teach.
He moved to Aria, and found a new home amongst its citizens. He would never give up the secret, telling no people what he knew and what he had been taught. When he travelled, he would hire a bodyguard--this same one every time--who he had started to grow close to as a trusted ally. He still would not tell her of what he could do. He now travels the world with his thoughts in mind, finding new places to see and explore, and trying his hardest to understand the world that he is in to the best of his abilities. Curiosity kills the cat, but Daigoro Ito is no feline.

Description: Daigoro Ito is a wordcaster--or, to put it plainly enough, someone who combines multiple words into a string that casts a specific spell. The point of Daigoro's wordcasting is that it causes him to be an extremely versatile caster, but as a result he loses out on the power that he'd get by working in a specific area of magic. He can, when crafting a spell, use up to two effect words and combine it with one target word to create the spell. Note that some wordspells have different effects when combined with other wordspells, as noted in the listing.
Daigoro can also create Arcane Items, using a combined wordspell of his choice. While Daigoro's usual spells are weaker than that of your average, this is where they shine--an object can take a wordspell and stack its benefits five additional times, each stack taking a post to go up. As a result, a fully-stacked Arcane Item is six times as powerful as a regular wordspell, but only for one use. Once the spell has been used a single time, the item is spent and would need to be re-stacked.

- Target Words:
Barrier Creates a visible barrier of magic that is a maximum of 10 feet long and 10 feet high. Each Stack in an item adds 20 feet to the maximum width and height, up to 110 feet. Burst Affects everything within a 10 foot diameter area from a point in the caster's vision. Each Stack in an item adds 10 feet to the diameter of the burst, up to a maximum of sixty feet. Cone Affects everything within a cone that spreads outwards up to 10 feet from the caster's position. Each Stack in an item adds 5 feet to the length of the cone, up to a maximum of 35 feet. Line Affects everything within a 20 foot line from the caster, with a 5 foot width. Each Stack in an item adds 10 feet to the length of the line, up to a maximum of 70 feet. Personal Affects explicitly the caster and the caster alone. Selected Affects one target of the caster's choice. Each Stack in an item adds one additional target, up to 6 targets maximum.
- Effect Words - A to D:
Accelerate Increases the movement speed the target(s) by 10% for one round. If combined with a wordspell, increases the speed of the created spell. Each Stack increases given speed by 10%, up to a cap of 60%. Acid Deals a moderate amount of acidic damage to the target(s). Acid Burn Deals a minor amount of acidic damage to the target(s), also dealing some damage to them at the start of their next post for three rounds. Altered Form Personal only. The target of this wordspell increases in size slightly, and receives one of the following: Natural Claws, Greater Agility, Greater Swim, Night Vision, Scent, Natural Armor. This lasts for up to two rounds, but can be dispelled at will. Each Stack in an item adds one extra benefit to the transformation, and an extra round that the target can remain altered (up to seven). Ball Lightning Selected only. The target of this wordspell takes great electric damage, and all targets directly beside them take moderate lightning damage. Beacon Personal only. The target of this wordspell selects the point at which they are standing. For the next ten rounds, they know exactly where and how far away this point is from their current location. Cannot Stack with itself (can be put into an item). Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Blade Wall Barrier only. Creates a wall of spinning blades in the area of the Barrier. Passing through is hampered for enemy targets, who take physical damage if they try to force their way through. This wall can be used as cover from ranged weaponry. Lasts for two rounds. If combined with a wordspell, the damage dealt is changed to that of the other wordspell. Each Stack causes the wall to last for one additional round, up to seven. Blind Burst only. Creates a flash of light at a target location. All creatures looking at the target location are possibly blinded for one round. Cannot Stack with itself (can be put into an item). Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Blizzard Creates a flurry of heavy snow to fall within the area of effect for the next two rounds. This impairs vision to those attempting to look through and deals cold-based damage to those that attempt to pass through it. If combined with a wordspell, changes from snow to the effect and damage type of the other wordspell. Each Stack increases the duration of the blizzard by one round. Burn Deals a moderate amount of fire damage to the target(s) Catastrophe Burst only. Causes heavy clouds to form in the sky above the area. This area is pelted by heavy rain and hail, obscuring vision, making ranged attacks impossible and causing potential misses from melee attacks. Everyone (allies and enemies) in the area takes some damage from the hail at the start of their posts. As well as this, the caster can summon a bolt of lightning once per round upon any target(s) of their choosing, causing great electricity damage to a single target, or reduced amounts of damage to multiple targets. This lasts for up to three rounds. Each Stack increases the duration by one round, up to a maximum of eight. Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Caustic Cloud Burst and Barrier only. Creates a cloud of noxious green vapors that cause minor acid damage to those within at the start of their turns, as well as obscuring vision slightly. Lasts for two rounds, but can be dispersed by a strong wind. If combined with a wordspell, the damage dealt is changed to that of the other wordspell. Each Stack increases the duration of the cloud by one round, up to seven. Cinder Storm Deals a minor amount of fire damage to the target(s), also dealing minor damage to them at the start of their turn, for the next three turns. Cold Snap Deals a moderate amount of cold damage to the target(s). Complex Order Selected only. The target of this wordspell is given a command by the caster. They are then compelled to do this bidding, but can refuse it if they are strong enough. The instructions cannot include anything dangerous or against the target's general will. If the target does not complete the orders within two rounds, then the spell ends and they are no longer compelled to do anything. Cannot Stack with itself (can be put into an item). Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Corrosive Bolt Selected only. The target(s) of this wordspell take great acidic damage. Extremely accurate, easily piggybacks additional effects. Cramp Causes a moderate amount of pain to the target(s) in the area for one round. Cannot Stack with itself (can be put into an item). Cure Heals some damage on all target(s). Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Cannot Stack with itself (can be put into an item). Decelerate Decreases the movement speed the target(s) by 10% for one round. If combined with a wordspell, decreases the speed of the created spell. Each Stack decreases given speed by 10%, up to a cap of 60%. Destroy Selected only. Breaks the selected object, up to a maximum of twenty pounds. Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Each Stack increases the weight of the breakable objects by twenty pounds, up to a maximum of one-hundred-twenty pounds. Cannot Stack with Selected. Destructive Vibration Deals a moderate amount of sound damage to the target(s). If combined with a harmless wordspell, the target(s) simply vibrate instead. Dimensional Hop Selected only. All willing target(s) of the spell are instantly teleported to a location within the caster's line of sight. The caster must be a target of the wordspell. Dimensional Jump Selected only. All willing target(s) of the spell are instantly teleported to a location on the same plane of existence. The caster must be a target of the wordspell. The destination must be somewhere the wordcaster has visited in his life. Disappear Personal only. The caster becomes invisible to the naked eye for two rounds. They are able to take one offensive action before their next action causes them to reappear. Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Each Stack increases the duration of the invisibility by one round OR gives one additional action before reappearing. Discordant Note Deals a minor amount of sound damage to the target(s). Leaves a buzzing noise in their ears for the next three rounds that may disorient them if they can't ignore it.
- Effect Words - E to K:
Energy Immunity Personal and Selected only. Must be combined with an elemental wordspell. Grants immunity to one energy type for two rounds. If combined with a wordspell, chooses the element to be immune to. Each Stack increases the duration of the immunity by one round, up to a maximum of seven. Fade The target(s) of this spell all become invisible for one round. Offensive actions cause the effect to end. Each Stack increases the duration of the invisibility by one round. Far Casting Personal only. The caster uses this spell to reach out to another willing creature, anywhere in the world, with a psychic link. As long as the caster concentrates, the target can communicate verbally with the willing creature, and the willing creature can communicate back. The target and the willing creature do not need to share a language to communicate in this way. This lasts for as long as the caster concentrates. Cannot Stack with itself (can be put into an item). Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Far Sight Personal only. The caster creates an invisible eye within 400 feet of their position. This cannot move, but for five rounds the caster can look through this eye as if it were their own. The eye uses the caster's senses, including night vision, etc. The eye can view in all directions, and is effectively undetectable. Each Stack increases the distance the eye can be placed by 40 feet, up to a maximum of 600 feet. Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Fire Blast Selected only. Deals great fire damage to the target(s) and then moderate fire damage to all enemies right beside them. Fog Creates a thick fog in the area of effect. It obscures all sight. A moderate burst of wind can remove the fog. Lasts for three rounds. Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Each Stack increases the duration of the fog by one round, up to eight maximum. Force Armor Personal only. Creates an invisible armor around the body of the caster that reduces damage taken by 10% for three rounds. Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Each Stack increases the defense percentage by 10, up to a maximum of 60%. Force Bolt Selected only. Deals great force damage to all target(s). Bypasses magical defenses. Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Force Shield Personal only. Creates a layer of force energy around the body of the caster that completely blocks the next Arcane attack within two rounds. Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Each Stack adds an additional layer, up to a maximum of 6 within four rounds. Frost Fingers The target(s) of this wordspell take minor cold damage, and take an extra amount of minor cold damage at the start of their next turn for three additional turns. Glide Personal only. The caster becomes able to fly temporarily. They can fly up to ten feet off of the ground, and gain knowledge of how to control themselves in mid-air. Lasts for three posts. Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Each Stack increases flight duration by two posts, up to thirteen posts total. It also increases the maximum height by three feet, up to a maximum of twenty-five feet. Gloom Either the target(s) radiate darkness out for ten feet around them, or darkness is created in the area of effect. Either way, this darkness is artificial and cannot be modified by additional sources of non-magical light. Lasts for two rounds. Each Stack increases duration by one round, up to a maximum of seven. Ice Blast The target(s) of this wordspell take moderate cold damage. Inferno All target(s) hit originally take great fire damage. After this, a zone is created--either in the area of effect, or radiating ten feet around the target(s). Starting a post in that zone causes you to take additional moderate fire damage, or great fire damage if originally affected by Inferno. The area of effect lasts for three rounds. Cannot Combine with other word spells. Cannot Stack with itself (can be put into an item). Kill Selected only. Instantly kills selected target (Cannot be used on PCs). If combined with a wordspell, determines style of death. Cannot be itemized.
- Effect Words - L to Z:
Lift Personal only. Allows the caster to lift and move nonmagical items, weighing up to five pounds. This effect lasts for three rounds. Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Each Stack allows the caster to lift 5 additional pounds, up to thirty pounds, and causes the effect to last for one more round, up to eight. Lightning Blast Selected only. Deals great lightning damage to all target(s). If hit with this spell, up to three nearby enemies are dealt minor lightning damage and also take damage from any combined spell down a step, to a minimum of minor. Lock Ward Selected only. The target of this effect word, if it is nonmagical and lockable, is locked. If the lock is attempted to be forced open by one who does not possess a key (or is not Daigoro), then the combined effect word is activated. Cannot Stack with itself. Nature's Calm Selected only. The target of this effect word, if it is a beast, is calmed for up to three rounds. The effect immediately ends if the target(s) are attacked. Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Each Stack increases the duration by one round OR allows the creature to be attacked once before ending the spell. Nature's Command Selected only. The target of this effect word, if it is a beast, takes simple commands from the caster. The target ignores self-destructive or suicidal commands. There is no need to speak commands, due to a mental link between the two. Lasts for up to three rounds. Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Each Stack increases the duration by one round, up to a maximum of eight. Paralyze All target(s) in the area are paralyzed for one round. This cancels actions and magic casting. Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Cannot Stack with itself (can be put into an item). Radiance Either the target(s) radiate light out for ten feet around them, or light is created in the area of effect. Either way, this light is artificial and cannot be modified by additional sources of non-magical darkness. Lasts for two rounds. Each Stack increases duration by one round, up to a maximum of seven. Reversal Personal only. Causes an immediate change in Daigoro's body, switching him to the opposing sex that he is at the time. This is the appearance that female Dai takes. Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Cannot Stack with itself. Rumble Burst only. Causes the ground within the area to shake and rumble, as if an earthquake were occurring. Characters and creatures without sufficient balance will find themselves most likely to fall. Caves and the like collapse in the area. Wooden buildings may collapse as well. Lasts for one round. Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Cannot Stack with itself. Sense Hidden Cannot be used with Personal or Selected. Invisible creatures in the area are immediately revealed to the caster. This does not remove their invisibility, nor does it show their presence to anyone other than the caster. Area lasts for three rounds. Invisible creatures are revealed for three rounds. Cannot Stack with itself (can be put into an item). Sense Magic Cannot be used with Personal or Selected. Magical creatures and objects in the area are immediately revealed as magical to the caster. They do not understand what their magic is, or what they can do with it--simply that it is magical. The area lasts for three rounds. Magical beasts are revealed for three rounds. Magical objects are always revealed once first discovered. Cannot Stack with itself (can be put into an item). Sense Thoughts Cannot be used with Personal or Selected. Sentient beings in the area have their surface thoughts revealed to the caster. Surface thoughts are passing thoughts like 'what should I eat tonight?' or things that are immediately on their minds like 'gotta get to the boss, he is here'. The area lasts for one round. Only thoughts revealed in that post are recalled by the caster. Cannot Stack with itself (can be put into an item). Shock Arc Deals moderate electric damage to all target(s) in the area. Soothe All target(s) in the area have any major pain that they are feeling dulled to a manageable level. Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Cannot Stack with itself (can be put into an item). Sound Blast Deals a moderate amount of sound damage to all target(s) in the area. Spark Deals a minor amount of electric damage to all target(s) in the area. At the beginning of their next three turns, they take minor electric damage. Stone Wall Barrier only. Creates a wall of solid stone in the area of the barrier. Lasts for up to three rounds. Each Stack increases duration by one round, up to a maximum of eight. Storm Master Personal only. The caster gains the ability to change the weather for a mile around them. Each change takes one post to occur, and the weather can only be modified by moving in steps along a scale. The scale is as follows: Freezing Cold, Blizzard, Snow, Cold Rain, Cold Wind, Calm, Warm Wind, Warm Rain, Thunderstorm, Tornado, Extreme Heat. Thus if the weather currently features warm wind and the caster wanted to change that to cold wind, she would need to first change the weather to calm, and then to cold wind. The target cannot control the specifics of the weather, merely what type of weather is occurring (the target cannot, for example, make lightning strike a house, but it can cause lightning to strike within the area). Lasts for ten weather changes. Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Cannot Stack with itself (can be put into an item). Sunshine Causes bright illuminating light to emanate from either the target(s) or the area for one round. Looking at it is akin to looking directly at the sun. Each Stack increases the duration by one round, up to a maximum of seven. Torture Can only be combined with damage wordspells. Halves the damage of the combined wordspell, but deals the damage over two posts. Cannot Stack with itself. Unlock Selected only. Can be used on a nonmagical lock to unlock it without a key. Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Cannot Stack with itself. Wind Blast Creates a blast of air down the area pointing away from the caster. Can knock down those in its path. Cannot Stack with itself. Wind wall Barrier only. Creates a wall of swirling wind that causes projectiles to automatically miss. Other than that, it is just a wall of strong wind. Lasts for three rounds. Cannot Combine with other wordspells. Cannot Stack with itself.
