Alain was at work. It was time to play! Serenity understoo-.. well, not understood Alain's dislike of the dragon, but she accepted it. Once he was gone and her chores were done, Serenity wrapped herself in thick clothing, boots, a jacket, and a scarf. She stepped out onto the porch and was greeted with the energetic yapping of a young white pup. "Morning Shiori." Serenity picked the little thing up and kissed the top of his head. Yes, she had named the male dog Shiori. There was no law against that! Carrying the little tyke down the front steps, Serenity heard a loud roar and looked up to see a hyper dragon hopping back and forth, waiting for her. Since Alain wasn't to fond of her scaled friend, the dragon learned not to cross a certain line and didn't come too close to the house. This was how it was done.
Serenity smiled and ran over to the dragon. The moment she crossed the line that dragon had practically created for itself, it swooped under Serenity and picked her up. Because she was scared, he never flew off. He only ran along the ground and maybe glided a bit. Serenity giggled happily as Shiori barked and soon they found a little clearing in the forest that they claimed as their own playground. Shiori ran up the dragon's neck and jumped off the top of it's head, landing in a pile of snow. "Haha... Be careful little guy, the snow is going to melt soon and doing that won't feel so good then..." Serenity told him, only to get a bark in return. She looked over to her dragon and knelt down. "Come on, let me see." she said and the dragon lifted it's front arm. There was quite the large scar along his chest.
"It seems to be healing pretty well, huh?" Serenity said, patting the dragon's chest without touching the scar. She stood up and put her hands on her hips. "I told you that you'd be fine." she told him in a cocky tone, sticking her tongue out. The dragon replied as if he understood here, rolling his eyes and shaking his head like 'yeah, yeah, yeah...' Of course, his only voice was chopped up grunts and growls that sounded adorable to Serenity. "Well, I was right. You can't say I wasn't." she told him patting his head. The dragon shook his head and lifted his claw, patting on top of Serenity's head like a cat. Serenity's small body was sent to the floor, but it didn't hurt. The dragon was just sorta strong. "Ahh!" she fake screamed and the dragon plopped it's head down on top of her, causing her to laugh.
"Okay big guy... You're squishing m-me..." she told him. She saw the dragon's eyes shift toward something and felt a low rumble come from his throat before he finally lifted his head. "What's wrong?" she asked as the puppy started barking toward something off in the distance. Serenity couldn't see it. She stepped forward to go look, but the dragon charged forward and tackled someone to the ground, roaring at it as if it had already done something wrong. "Hey!" Serenity ran to try and catch up to them, but he was about thirty feet away by now. She picked up Shiori and hurried along, hoping to catch the dragon before he hurt someone or something in a way that would really get him in trouble. "Don't hurt anyone!" she shouted, when finally she caught up to see someone being pinned down.
