Type: Power Armor
Description:
Rarity: One of a Kind
Owned: No One (at this point)
Creator: An illusive figure known as a 'Contractor'
Location(s) Found: Sealed in a hidden place... Maybe a collection of hints will lead to it? (Quest)
Abilities:
- AT Field: The 'Anti-Terror' Field is a protective barrier around the Cruel Thesis. The AT-Field is incredibly strong against ranged attacks, rendering them almost completely useless. In close combat, one has to 'rip' apart the AT Field in order to close in on the Cruel Thesis. The AT Field can be used as a weapon by focusing it into a 'blade' that forces the things it hits to be repelled on both sides of the blade, effectively ripping something apart instead of normally cutting. Using it in this fashion renders all defensive properties, even against ranged, useless for two posts.
- Synchronization Quotient: This special enchantment gives the Cruel Thesis power. The more 'synthethized', or 'used to' the Cruel Thesis the current user is, the longer the armor can stay active. After each activation, it needs to rest for up to twelve hours. The Synchronization Quotient increases each time the armor is used. It starts at 30%, and increases by 2% for each normal use. Losing the will to fight or use the Cruel Thesis lowers the Synchronization by 10%. Going on a rampage while using it increases it by 6%. Completely giving up control to the 'sentience' within the armor increases synchro by 15% permanently, but will drive the user into developing antisocial behavior, homocidal thoughts and destructive self-loathing. In general, increased Synchronization will make the wearer 'aware' of the mind within the armor, but it can't be understood by a human mind, slowly driving them insane unless they have tremendous willpower. Synchronization USUALLY stops at 100%, which is peak performance for the armor - it can operate for hours without running dry on energy, and needs little time to recover. However, once 100% are reached, the wearer can decide to give themselves up completely, fusing with the armor and increasing synchro to 200%. In that state, the wielder becomes literally embedded into the armor, and while it unlocks the ultimate power within, it will also most likely kill the user by refusing to let them retake their original human form.
