He liked it here, in Varedia. It was a nice place, if nothing else. The sun was almost always around, even during the winter. It rarely rained, and the beach was nice for watching the scenery. Cyrus could never approach any closer than watching, though, because he knew what kind of a person he was. He was the sort of man who would kill anybody who got too close to him. The Berserker and the Blood Knight were his only companions, and he felt nothing short of disdain towards them. They had a job to do, and he agreed with their line of work. He knew their ideals to be true and just. Justice did not always require one to be innocent and good, after all.
Most of the people in this city were tourists from other countries, or people looking to procure services. He recognized a woman speaking to a few other people as being the owner of a local hotel. She had a body that she enjoyed showing off, and he could tell. While she tried to peddle some of her services, everyone else was doing their own thing. Cyrus placed his hands in his pockets and sighed softly, hearing footsteps approaching him from behind, and a sultry voice speaking in dulcet tones, "Hey, cutie, looking for a good time?" He turned around and shook his head, politely preparing to decline the woman's invitation. Unfortunately, he had been won over by the redhead immediately. He allowed her to drag him off, and into a nearby hotel.
An Hour Later
He stepped out of the hotel, a bit more tired and with a decidedly emptier wallet. He sighed softly and shook his head. At least she wouldn't get attached to him. He'd have to get more money later on. Instead, he decided to continue his small exploration of Varedia, hoping to find something interesting to look at.
