    Eternal Harvest [CLOSED] SnopyAE_zps1054f6b7

Things hadn't been going so well for ol Snopy Saika.  Nope, not at all.  What had started many moons ago as a simple job to earn some cash had gotten him attacked by 5 golden slavers, 4 rogue bandits, 3 mighty Taeric, 2 Viridescent Forest Snakes, and an Ahriman in an oak tree.  Christmas carols of doom aside, his life has had very few moments where it wasn't in extreme jeopardy.  As the carol of doom cycled, he did happen across several elves.  Three of which he called traveling companions, sorta.  Two of them he did, the other he had only ended up with in a rush to save someone's life.  Snopy wanted to stop being the helpless guy who needed protection all of the time, and Elwyn kindly accepted the request to train him.  He had the determination to say the least.  He apparently impressed Elwyn, which was an accomplishment according to the much quieter little sister.  Yet he had been pushed way further than he was supposed to.  By chance he happened upon Hacil, and it quickly turned into a frantic rush to save Nilani's life when slavers fired a poisoned bolt into her.  For days and days on end he ran at full speed, using every ounce of his strength to keep up.  Somehow for days on end he kept up, Elwyn boosting him.  Yet it ended poorly all around.  Nilani, though cured, had taken damage from the poison.  Elwyn had drained her magic and thus had no strength.  Hacil had used what she had left to protect Snopy from dying after his body began to give from over-exertion.  Somehow though, they survived.  They got the cure, and were being transferred to Aria for treatment at Aria Grand.

In their weakened state, most of them remained unconscious.  Most of the days were fairly quiet as a result.  The first one to truly regain consciousness was ironically Snopy.  His eyes fluttered open, as a thick layer of clouds lay overhead.  There wasn't much humidity, so rain was unlikely.  He looked around a bit.  He saw Hacil's burned up body, why was she burned?  What did she do...  He remembered some warmth after he blacked out...did...did she help him?  He turned his head to Nilani.  She seemed to be alive, so the antidote had worked.  Still, she looked so sickly and pale from the poison.  Then he looked at Elwyn.  His heart, which was still having trouble truly accepting others, actually noticeably sank.  She wasn't just pale, she looked dead.  His eyes widened for a moment, maybe she actually was dead.  Then he saw her chest moving slightly.  He let out a soft sigh, she was alive.  Still, Elwyn always tended to be so strong and...collected.  Together.  Seeing her look half-dead was a bit of a shock to his system.  He lowered his head again.  Staring up at the roof of the carriage until he finally recognized the gates of Aria.  He was home, for whatever it was worth.

The Carriage didn't take long before stopping, so they entered the gate right by the Aria Grand Guild Hall.  Not shocking seeing the direction that they came from.  Or maybe not, his sense of direction was a tad fried from all the chaos.  Some people came to help them out of the carriage.  Snopy sat up, getting some of the guild members to carry the elves.  Most were pretty poker faced, but some had a look of disgust.  Leave your prejudices out the door now bub.  Waste of energy.  One man went to carry Snopy, but he signaled not to.  Instead, he put one arm around the man to support himself, and was aided into the Guild Hall.  He sighed, at the very least many had forgotten about the Saika.  Their work around the city made them pretty well known at one point in time, but being dead 5 years has a way of dropping people off the map.  Last thing he needed was to be recognized by someone who would do nothing but look down on him.  They were carried through the main hall into a hallway, before turning into the infirmary.  Hacil and Nilani were set down pretty gently, but the one carrying Elwyn was less adept at hiding his prejudice and practically threw her onto the bed.  "HEY!"  Snopy shouted, leaving the aid of the man who had helped him, but he quickly let out a "'sssssss" noise as the pain shot through his body.  His knees bent and he almost tumbled onto the floor before the man caught him again.  "Don't just toss her around like that, she's in bad enough shape as it is."  He allowed the man to help him into the bed, before laying down and staring at the ceiling and waiting for someone to come help them.

"Don't think... you owe me... a damn thing... you crazy sonnuvabitch." That was the last thing Hacil remembered saying. Her mind went black and blurry after she "insulted" Snopy. Hacil didn't wake at all during the trip to Aria. Her sleeping wasn't just from being worn out. She had burned her back to at least a 2nd degree, and there were spots that looked to be 3rd degree. Her back had been wrapped, and those bandages had to be changed out at least once a day. Bleeding and other gunk from the wounds just kept staining them. Her fingertips were charred, and they would be black for a day or two more.

Hacil didn't dream, but remembered. She remembered one of the few times she, Elwyn, and Nilani were all able to have some fun together. Hacil was just a little brat at the time, so it was all blurry. And even then, Hacil had a jealous admiration for Elwyn. Although it had not progressed nearly as far as it is now, she still disliked her sister for being this epitome of perfection. Hacil wondered what went wrong and why she couldn't be the Hacil in the memory again. At least that one smiled more...

Unfortunately, the remembering was quickly cut short when Hacil was laid into the bed. No matter how gentle that person was, the pressure on her back was too much. Her entire body felt like it was being impaled. Hacil shot up, almost screaming in pain. The man who carried Hacil rushed back to her side. Hacil looked around, and saw Nilani, Snopy, and Elwyn all in their own beds. "Nilani?" No immediate response. "Elwyn?" Still nothing. "Snopy?" At least that got some shuffling. "Hey, where are we? Is this Aria?" The man then helped Hacil turn on her stomach, so pressure wasn't on her back.

    Eternal Harvest [CLOSED] Elwyn%20Nilani%202_zpsvqbatxbv

Darkness. That's what Nilani saw behind her eye lids. She had no dreams and could hear nothing as she was taken to Aria Grand. This place was supposed to help them, right? She hoped so. It would be her first time inside of a city. Usually, Elwyn protected her from the hatred that humans had against elves by keeping her on the outskirts of the town. This time, Nilani was going to be able to see the big city. At least, that's what she hoped. It was hard to say right now. Her body was weak. Yes, she had been poisoned and that almost took her life. Even with being cured of that, there was still something she had to deal with, the loss of blood and the open wound she had after being shot. The people that were helping them bandaged her up as much as they could, but they obviously weren't doctors. She only hoped that this person they had spoken of actually would help them.

They arrived at and Nilani was gently put down on a bed. She began to stir, but could not fully wake. She could hear things happening around her, but what caught her attention most was her sister calling her. She tried to answer, but her body wouldn't respond immediately. It ached. It needed time to get where it wanted to go. A few moments later, a low grunt sounded from Nilani as she opened her eyes. She could not move, but her eyes darted around the room for a moment. Her mouth opened and after a pause, she let out a quick exhale of air before taking in a deep breath. Nilani rolled her head over to see Hacil and Snopy were okay and awake. On her other side was Elwyn, who looked half dead. Elwyn's breathing was low, very low. Her skin was pale and the shine that she usually had in her hair had faded. Nilani had never seen Elwyn like that and feared for her survival.

"H-Hacil..." her voice cracked. Nilani turned back toward her red-eyed sister. She pushed herself up, struggling quite a bit as she brought her legs over the side of the bed. She stumbled, but she made her way over to Hacil and practically fell into her sister, crying. "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry!" Nilani grabbed onto her sisters shirt and clung, her small body trembling as she tried to hold back her tears, "This is all my fault. I didn't mean to make you guys push yourselves so hard!" Nilani looked up to Hacil with a weak smile, "Thank you... For saving my life." During this time, there were a few onlookers that found the scene a little endearing, but more of them were annoyed or disgusted. When Nilani saw this, she curled herself closer to Hacil. She wasn't used to the looks she was being given. "The Master will be here momentarily," a woman that had helped them stepped into the room.

    Eternal Harvest [CLOSED] SnopyAE_zps1054f6b7

One by one, the girl's began to stir.  Hacil was first, when the sharp pain of being placed caused Hacil to yelp like a dog whose tail just got stepped on.  Snopy practically shot up when he heard this, but when he saw it was just Hail being placed on the wrong side, he laid back down.  "Well there's one alive."  He said as he just focused on breathing, seeing as thinking would just stress him out as it usually did.  "Yeah...this is Aria."  He remained silent as the second, Nilani, stirred.  Yeah, Elwyn was definitely in bad shape if she hadn't woken up but Nilani had.  Snopy rolled his head and saw Nilani doing the same.  It was definitely good she was awake as opposed to both of them still being unconscious.  That's when he saw Nilani struggling to her feet, then over to Hacil.  "Hey, Nilani!  You need rest."  Still, she continued moving.  He didn't interrupt any more, he had given his warning and whatever she did from this point was on her.  Not like he was in any shape to stop her from doing anything anyway.  He returned to his breathing before he suddenly heard Nilani burst out crying.  He turned, but still couldn't really bring himself to say much.  It broke his heart to see her break down like this, but again, at least she was alive to break down.  Turning, he saw a familiar sight.  Disgust.  Annoyance.  As usual it was over something stupid.  He knew it, that scene should break someone's heart, but some simply did not have a heart for elves.  He himself glared at them, humans were obsessed with some petty things.  When Nilani finished her apologies and thank yous to Hacil, a woman came in and informed them that "The master will be here shortly".  Guildmaster he took it.  "Thank you."  Some things never changed, and in this case it wasn't a good thing.  Elves, he wasn't sure if they had done something to the Arcadian's long ago or if it was just blind prejudice, but the Arcadian's have been always disgusted by them.  Snopy never once understood it.  Even before he met elves, aren't people just people?  Don't they have the same heart and soul that humans have?  The prejudice never once gave a good reason to dislike elves so much, only stupid opinions.  Opinions and facts had a funny habit of getting mixed up anyway.

"Humans...always in a rush to get from something stupid, to nothing at all."  He sighed, looking straight towards a majority of he disgusted faces.  "If you keep making those faces they'll freeze up like that.  I highly doubt that obvious disgust is worth the energy when you can simply live, let live, and move on."  Was he really in a position to say these things?  No.  Was he going to?  Yes.  They wouldn't just murder him in the Aria Grand Guild Hall, that was for sure.  Even if they tried, how much did he REALLY have to worry about losing?  "These girls have done NOTHING to you, they don't deserve the looks.  You want to give dirty looks to someone, do it to me.  I've spent the last 5 years enduring them, I may as well continue."  He laid his head back down and sighed.  Normally he wouldn't bring attention to it, but Nilani had obviously already noticed.  May as well attempt to pull them away from her.  He began to hum, an old melody that his mother used to sing to him when he was little.  It was slow, sweet, and even though he didn't have a singing voice, the humming seemed to be melodic.  It was always such a soothing song.  He wished that he could go back to those times.  Back when his family was still there.  His little sister still clinging to his leg.  His mother still always there when he needed her.  When he still trusted people, back before he was alone.  Before he withdrew from relationships with other people out of fear of being stabbed in the back.  His family were really the only ones who gave a damn about him, well the female side anyway.  His 'friends' all dropped him once he was no longer of some use, and sad as it was, he expected it again from these girls.  He had no idea why he defended them time and time again.  If they were gonna just drop him, why was it his problem?  Never once did he consider the possibility that that was very wrong.  Or maybe he did.  He didn't understand it himself, but the true emotion he was feeling was simple.  Fear.  He might not have had much of a voice, but when he really put his heart into it, it sounded fine.  He continued the tune.  "Alone for awhile...I've been searching through the dark.  For traces of the love you left inside my lonely heart.  To weave by picking up the pieces that remain...melodies of life, love's lost refrain."  Until someone drew his attention he'd continue singing the song.

Hacil was worried about her sisters. There was a reason she called out in that order. Nilani was the one person she felt liked her. Elwyn was the one she looked up to most. Snopy, she had just met. But the thing about Snopy was that he risked his life for Nilani. That was worth something to Hacil. In fact, it was worth a lot. So much so that there was a bit of joy in her eyes when Snopy was the one that responded. "We made it..." Hacil sighed, glad that they finally made it to Aria.

Hacil then heard Nilani stirring—and saw her get out of bed. "Nilani, don't come over here... Just lie down." Hacil's own voice cracked in pain as she tried to stop her sister. But Hacil didn't have the strength to do anything beyond verbal warnings. Nilani fell into her, and it was all Hacil could do to keep from screaming. Her face went pale and she gripped the bed tighter. As Nilani wept into her, Hacil just patted Nilani's head. And as she finished, Hacil thipped Nilani's forehead in a playful yet scolding manner. "It wasn't your fault, so stop that." Hacil was smiling a bit more, although she was still in pain.

"And you're welcome... though it was mainly Elwyn that did anything. I just did what I do best," Hacil looked sad, but kept up her smile, "burn stuff." To Hacil, that's the only thing she could do. She didn't even mean to burn most things. "Hey, you heard the lady... The 'Guild Master' will be here soon. They might not be happy if you're out of bed. So get up here with me." Hacil used as much strength as she could to help Nilani up into the bed beside her.

This was Hacil's way of shielding her younger sister from those looks. Hacil glared at every single person who made such a face—not at her, but at her sisters. Hacil already felt like she was unwanted. But Nilani and Elwyn? No, you don't look at them that way—especially Nilani. Hacil's eyes were showing that she would quickly kill anyone that tried to hurt the one beside her. Snopy's outburst raised questions in Hacil's mind, but she wouldn't press. Instead, she let out a small smile and mouthed "thank you" to him.

Snopy sang while they waited on the guild master. Hacil just kept an arm around Nilani, making sure the little one was taken care of. After a couple of lines, Hacil spoke up."Hey, Snopy... that's a good song and all... but you can't sing." Hacil let out a small giggle. Frankly, Hacil's perception of song was skewed. She wasn't used to quality like that. She was used to beautiful, silky, Elven voices. Not his voice. So while Snopy might not be a bad singer, Hacil thought he was a novice. "I might have to teach you how to. Or maybe even Nilani here could. I think she's better at it than I am."

Nilani wasn't going to listen to any warnings that Snopy or her sister had for her. She moved over to Hacil anyway and kept close to the one she knew wouldn't let anything happen to her. These people were bothering her. She couldn't look any of them in the eye, but she did her best to glance around and make sure none were getting to close. Elwyn stayed asleep, unable to wake this early after the trauma they had all experienced. Her face was calm, but the water that seemed to collect around her made it look like she was sweating heavily. Nilani looked over Hacil and over to Snopy with a soft smile, "Thank you too... Snopy." She quickly hid her face into Hacil's shoulder as she was brought onto the bed. This was better. This was safer. Nilani calmed down, her body no longer trembling as she lay there. Snopy began to sing and Nilani just listened, blinking in a little surprise.

"I like the words." is all she said after Hacil spoke up about the song. It was her way of agreeing with Hacil without saying it. Nilani was able to giggle a little too. The guild members that had been called out began backing off, leaving the infirmary or working on other things in the room. "I'm not that good..." Nilani blushed a little. She always thought Hacil and Elwyn were better singers than she was. Her voice was more 'fun', while Elwyn's was melodic when they sang. Frankly, all the sisters likely had wonderful voices. Soon, the "Master" would show up and Nilani wondered who that was. "Who's the Master? Is he nice?" Nilani asked Hacil, as if her sister would know, but then looked to Snopy for some sort of confirmation. "The Master is a woman, and she's the greatest Arcanist in Arcadia!" the woman who had informed them before spoke up after Hacil and Snopy with a confident smile on her face.

"I am nothing of the sort." a voice rang out from the door way as a woman in a green ball gown stepped into the room. Her long silky-white hair fell far down her back. Her violet colored eyes shined rather vibrantly. Although she was a beauty anyone with the smallest amount of good taste, her face showed a more 'cute' demeanor when she smiled. She stood at five feet, seven inches tall and had a bust that she seemed to have no problem showing off. The woman was dressed like a princess and walked like one as well; her posture was perfect. Her heels clicked along the wooden floor as she stepped over to the now filled beds. "So you are the four that my children tell me of?" Lillianna looked over them all, but her eyes stopped at the one still sleeping just a moment longer. She looked back to everyone and smiled, "You must have gone through quite a lot to get into the shape you're in, huh?"

    Eternal Harvest [CLOSED] SnopyAE_zps1054f6b7

Snopy hadn't been paying attention to Hacil's face when she mouthed the thank you.  As such he didn't respond to it simply because he didn't know there was something to respond to.  However, Nilani went on to thank him "too".  He turned to her.  Too?  He was a little confused, but decided not to dwell on it.  He just smiled back and then went back to staring at the ceiling.  He began to sing melodies of life, but just before he had gotten to the chorus Hacil felt the need to speak up.  Her verdict was that Snopy couldn't sing.  Yeah, okay.  He didn't sound as bad as some people.  He raised an eyebrow as she giggled.  "Picky aren't we."  He wasn't exactly offended.  It was kinda funny that she even brought it up.  "I don't sing often, it's just that that song..."  He trailed off as Nilani said that she liked the words.  "Me too."  He said as Hacil decided to offer him lessons.   He waited for the small conversation between Hacil and Nilani to end before speaking up.  "If you think you're so great, then please do."  He said in an incredibly teasing manner, though with the tone of the last sentence she'd probably be able to tell he wasn't against the idea. He sung it as close to how his mother sung it as he could, but he wasn't a singer. It'd be nice if he could sing it the way she used to. "I mostly sing it because it's...comforting." He said before going silent until the woman came in and announced the Guildmaster would be here soon. Nilani wanted to know if he was nice. Snopy chuckled a little, she was quick to jump on assuming it was a he. "The guildmaster isn't a man." He stopped there, but mostly because the woman jumped quickly to begin praising the greatest Arcanist in Arcadia, as she so dubbed her. Before Snopy could finally finish confirming with Nilani that she was indeed nice from what he knew, she ended up coming into the infirmary. She came dressed all up and proper. If he hadn't lived in Aria most of his life this would come to him as a surprise. She was perfectly proper, and quite beautiful. Snopy turned to Nilani and pointed with his thumb. "Lillianna Aranhartte, guildmaster of Aria Grand." Snopy dropped his hand and pushed himself up into a partially sitting up position. He thinks he saw her once before, but even if he hadn't, she was hard to miss if you knew what you were looking for.

She asked about them, referring to those who informed her as her children. She spoke like a proper healer, he knew that much. Still the children thing always sat weird to him. He couldn't get his head out of the typical mindset of children being...well, the usual definition of children. Offspring, young humanoid creatures, etc. "Yeah." He said in response to her question. She asked how much they went through, and seeing as Snopy was the one in the least bad shape he figured he'd be the one to speak up. "You have no idea." One by one he began to point the others out. "Nilani there, she got struck by a crossbow bolt covered with venom. Viridescent snake venom. So the three of us." Snopy pointed to Hacil and Elwyn. "Ran for days on end to get her to a cure in time. Which we did. However we overexerted ourselves. Elwyn there hasn't woken up, Nilani still needs tending to...and Hacil...actually I don't know how her back got fried like that. I think I lost consciousness before that happened." He figured that about covered it. He sat back down. "Please, if you're going to treat us, treat them first. They need it more than I do." Snopy definitely still needed serious tending to. Anyone who looked could see he was seriously injured from the overexertion. Still, the others were definitely worse off. "And I am worried about Elwyn, she's the only one who hasn't woken up."

"The words are pretty. Sad, but pretty." Hacil nodded in agreement to her little sister. "Yes you are. You have the same eagerness as the birds that would wake us up." Hacil reached over and patted Nilani's head again. She got another glimpse of Elwyn, but kept her happy demeanor up. She was worried about Elwyn too, although probably less so than the others. Elwyn was perfect, after all. It'd take more than just a little exhaustion to kill her. She turned back over to Snopy, her smile wider. "If my lungs didn't feel like they were filled with ash, I would—just to show you how it's really done."

As Snopy fell silent, so did Hacil. She instead just wrapped an arm around her sister, pulling her a little closer. It hurt like hell, but she'd rather Nilani feel safe. Hacil would gladly lay down her worthless life for Nilani. And she might even do it for Elwyn too. Hacil half-shrugged when Nilani asked what the master was like. Hell, she had only heard the name of the place through drunks in the taverns she used to hang out in. That was something she had noticed. When people got drunk, even those they hated could be seen as friends. That was one reason Hacil turned to go to taverns so often. She wanted to see if she could hate herself less. She couldn't.

Snopy seemed to know something more, which was good. She'd hate to leave Nilani with her curiosity unsated. Hacil's jaw almost dropped when Lillianna Aranhartte walked into the room. Hacil like. The woman was drop-dead gorgeous—for a human. Hacil had to blink a couple of times to get her eyes away from Lillianna's quite-attractive chest. Snopy was thankfully the one that gave introductions. "Oh, I.. uh... Snopy's body temperature was dropping, so I tried to warm him up... I can provide the heat, it's just controlling it..." Hacil looked away in shame and embarrassment. "And yes, Elwyn needs to be seen to first. I'm not sure how much you know of our kind, but she used up most of her Anima..."

Hacil looked over to Elwyn, admiration and envy in her eyes. "It's thanks to her that we were able to save this one," she tussled Nilani's hair, "from that venom." Hacil looked back over to Lillianna. "And then get Nilani treated, please. I should be fine with some aloes to ease the pain." Hacil actually had no idea how badly burnt her back was. She just knew it hurt.

Nilani kept as close to Hacil as she could. There was a few moments of silence between the group, so she almost fell asleep. It was when a new voice sounded through the infirmary that her attention was caught and she looked up. She sat up fully and looked over to the woman who walked in with wide eyes. Snopy introduced her and Nilani nodded. "Hacil..." she whispered to her sister and motioned over to Lillianna, "Her boobs... they're so big! Are they supposed to get that big?" Nilani was completley sincere in asking this question too. Elves had thin and slender frames. Breasts didn't get to the massive size that was popping out of Lillianna's chest. "Is it a human thing?" she added onto the question doing her best not to stare, but sort of failing. She kept glancing back and forth between different object, every now and then returning to the two balloons in Lillianna's clothing.

Luckily, Lillianna did not hear or notice the strange behavior. She assumed the young woman was just shy or nervous, which was understandable with what was going on. As the other two explained the situation, Lillanna looked over to Elwyn again. She was hesitating for a moment. Although she had no problem with healing these people, the city might. There was a lot of bullshit she was going to have to deal with after this. "How cute... Do not worry." Lillianna said as she stepped to the closest one, "I'll be able to heal you all." Snopy was the first. She stepped up to him and placed her hand on his chest. A moment later, her hand began to glow blue and the aura spread throughout his body. The feeling was warm as his body was put under her Acceleration spell. This spell allowed all the body to heal rapidly, so all things his body learned and went through still applied to his experience.

Lillianna stepped over to Hacil and Nilani and did the same thing, but Lillianna placed her hand on Hacil's back instead of chest. When this happened, there was a stronger infusion of energy that happened and she kept concentrating there for about five minutes. The feeling would have been warm and like a wind was swirling around rapidly over her wound. During this healing, the aura around Nilani and Snopy would not fade. They continued on the entire time and during this time, Lillianna was still using her Arcana. After the five minutes was up, Hacils back would have been about seventy five percent healed and Lillianna moved on to Elwyn. "I do not have the ability to restore Anima..." Lillianna said as she stood at the end of Elwyn's bed, staring at the drenched elf. She walked around to the opposite side and placed her hand on Elwyn's leg, watching as her body and face flinched in pain.

For a few moments, Lillianna seemed to just examine Elwyn and then looked up to the rest. "Whatever she did to keep herself running for those days has highly damaged her. Every muscle in her body is practically shredded, barely being kept together by the Anima she's been trying to regain on her trip here... It's been healing her and draining her at the same time..." Lillianna explained, looking down to Elwyn with a worried expression, "She can't absorb it fast enough to heal her body the amount it needs and keeps depleting herself almost to zero... I can heal her body, but there is still a chance that..." Lillianna hesitated for a moment, "... that she'll die if she can't regain her anima quickly enough." Nilani froze in horror and wrapped her arms around Hacil as tears began to form in her eyes. "I only tell you this so you understand exactly what kind of condition she's in..." Lillianna added.

With a deep breath, Lillianna's hair began to blow around and her body began to glow. She closed her eyes as the light around her began shining brighter. A moment later, she leaned over Elwyn and placed her hands on the woman's stomach. The entire aura that surrounded her body moved from her and onto Elwyn, causing the unconcious woman's body to glow brightly and float about six inches off the bed because of the immense amount of Arcana that was being used. Lillianna stepped back and stood there with her eyes closed. She continued concentrating. The same woman that had been helpful up until now stepped over to the rest and got their attention. "Do not bother her. Don't distract her in any way..." she said in a whisper, "If you do and the spell drops, she won't be able to start the spell up again and healing your friend will become impossible. Just keep quiet for now, alright?"

    Eternal Harvest [CLOSED] SnopyAE_zps1054f6b7

Hacil declined the request to show him how it was done on account of her lungs feeling ash filled.  Excuses excuses!  "Suuuure, that's why."  He chuckled, teasing her more.  Not too much happened before Lillianna entered the room, and Snopy explained the situation.  Hacil began to nervously speak up when he mentioned the burns on her back.  He became not only completely silent, but dead still.  He listened...  "You got those burns...trying to help me?"  His voice trailed off.  He swallowed, did she really do that?  He did remember a warmth even though he was blacked out.  He also remembered how cold he was beforehand.  "No wonder I'm in better shape than all of you right now." He rolled his neck a bit, it was incredibly stiff. Well his whole body was either stiff or in pain, but one thing needs to be fixed at a time. He didn't know what to say. Even as Hacil explained what Elwyn had done for them, Snopy quickly realized. Both Elwyn and Hacil had exerted some of their own energy to help him (or help him keep up), and Nilani might have only not helped him because she already took a venom doused bolt to the back helping Hacil. Hacil though then tried to say that she wasn't that bad and just needed something to ease the pain. Oh heeeeell naw. Snopy at least had room to say what he did, because he was obviously less injured than the others. Hacil couldn't even lay on her back it was so burned up. "Aloes my ass, your back is seriously messed up. Once Elwyn and Nilani are fixed up, you definitely need it." When someone can't relax their back onto a bed, there is a problem. There was no getting around that. However, a few confused looks came from Snopy as Lillianna stepped up to him. She said she could heal them all, which wasn't too surprising. If she healed Elwyn and Nilani, odds were she could get Hacil and Snopy done. Especially seeing as she could let her Arcana recharge if necessary. But why did she step up to him first. "Hey I'm the least injured, they need it mo-" He cut himself off as Lillianna's hand touched his chest. She was close, he could sit back and enjoy the view, but he still felt like she was prioritizing wrong. He looked towards her chest for a moment before pulling his gaze away out of respect. HE began to feel warm, a glow blurring his vision. His entire body was glowing a light blue from the spell, and the glow covered his vision with a blue tint. All it did was accelerate the body's healing processes, but mental calmness was often considered a result of healing and he just felt strangely at ease. He felt even more relaxed when he saw Lillianna could go over to the girls and keep the healing going, meaning she wasn't wasting too much time on him while the others needed it bad.

After Nilani was also set to heal, she began a much more tedious process with Hacil. Snopy looked towards Elwyn. She was still in that same half-dead sweat looking water covered state. The worst had been saved for last. Why? Were Nilani and Hacil really in such bad shape that they couldn't wait for Elwyn's healing to finish? Was Elwyn really in good enough shape that she could wait any? She'd be fine right? This woman was so much stronger than he was, surely she should be able to handle this. Once Lillianna finished with Hacil, Snopy looked over. "Feeling any better?" Snopy already knew he was. His pain reduced to stiffness, and the stiffness reduced to nothing. The only places still really stiff were previously in serious pain. Lillianna then began to explain Elwyn's condition, and it was even worse than it looked. She was literally being held together by her anima, but she'd run out and die if it kept trying. "I had no idea it was that bad..." He said, though he saw Nilani in tears. "Elwyn's strong, that much I do know. If anyone can make it through this it's her." He said to comfort Nilani a bit before Lillianna went on to her work. The assistant woman explained why they could not distract Lillianna. He nodded and kept pretty silent to avoid messing her up. Elwyn began to glow and float from the healing, this woman really was as powerful as rumors say. The amount of energy being used was so immense he could feel it from across the room. "If only I had any Arcana in my body, I'd be more useful." He spoke low, so that Lillianna should by no means be able to hear him over the sound the magic was making. From there, Snopy just let the healing still over his body bring him back to a normal healthy level, slowly but surely.

Yeah, they were big. "I don't know why." Hacil grinned over to her sister. "You jeaaaalllooouuuusss?" Hacil was going to tease her sister a bit. "Don't worry, I'm jealous of them too." Hacil winked. "And they're damn nice to look at," Hacil then muttered lightly, just enough so where Nilani could hear. Because damn.

Nilani may have been hiding her intention, but Hacil wasn't. She did enjoy that view. Thankfully, Hacil wasn't allowed to voice her intentions. Otherwise, she'd be saying that those big chest-pillows would feel amazing on her back right now. "Yeah, and like I said to you then. You don't owe me anything, so don't even let that be a thought in your head." Hacil shot a glare to Snopy telling him to not even try it. She was paying him back for helping with Nilani. Hacil didn't argue with Snopy further, and instead just made a grunt.

Hacil kept Nilani close, and just accepted Lillianna's healing. She winced from time to time as the skin and muscle all began to turn back to normal. It felt good to not worry too much. Hacil leaned over to Nilani again, noticing the aura didn't fade. "I bet those big hooters of hers are where she keeps this power." She was trying to keep Nilani calm during the healing.

"Yes, I am. I'm afraid to turn on my back still, but yeah. How about you?" When it came to Elwyn, Hacil was worried. Elwyn was perfect, but this woman... Hacil had never even heard of this woman before today. But at the same time, she gave off a feeling similar to Elwyn's. Hacil picked up on this quickly, and brushed Nilani's hair. "Don't cry... This woman reminds me of Elwyn. And Elwyn's perfect." She even did what Elwyn did—and kissed Nilani's forehead to calm the little lady down.

Hacil looked over at Snopy, and she wanted to slap him. "Snopy, don't fret about it. Get better with that crossbow, and you'll be fine." Hacil's voice was also low. Hacil pointed to her ears when Snopy looked over at her, assuming he did. "Just because you can't do what she does doesn't mean you aren't useful."

The healing was done and Lillianna was exhausted. It took only fifteen minutes, but the amount of Arcana and the rush put on it weighed heavily on her endurance. By the time she finished, she was breathing heavily and needed to take a break. "I have done what I can," Lillianna said as she stepped toward the door, wiping a bit of sweat from your brow, "I need some rest and so does your friend. You are welcome to stay at the guild hall for as long as you need, but please try not to anger anyone... Though I welcome your kind, not everyone in Aria is so kind. Not everyone in my own guild, though I encourage otherwise, is so kind. Please... tread carefully." With that, the tired woman stepped out of the infirmary and was escorted to her quarters to rest. She was not seen for much of that night.

Two days from the day of the initial healing and Elwyn was still not awake. Those within the guild treat Snopy equally, but there are a few who dislike how defensive he gets over the elves. Nilani keeps to herself or with Hacil during the times that she cannot be in the infirmary with Elwyn. She is treated with disgust, but her timid nature causes some to be easier on her. When it comes to Hacil, some of the expression and attitude she seems to get will be responded to with hostility and minor insults. Besides that, there are five to six members of the guild that are actually kind, supportive, and make sure to defend everyone at all times. One of these people are always required to be in the infirmary with Elwyn. Though Lillianna trusts her children not to do anything horrid, she does not feel the same way toward those outside of the guild that might sneak in to mess with any of the elves.

During the afternoon, a young man burst through the doors of the Aria Grand Guild Hall and in a panic. He quickly explained that a group of about ten bandits had wandered onto one of the wheat farms outside of the town. They are demanding food, stealing horses, and threatening to take the farmer's son and daugther and sell them into slavery. They keep waving torches when the farmer fights them back and are threatening to burn down his farm and home. They need help immediately. Lillianna looked around the guild hall in horror, unsure of what exactly she can do. Anyone currently present was not a fighter and this needed to be done quickly. "You." Lillianna pointed to Hacil, "This is your time to repay this guild for what we have done for you. Please, I need you to aid the farmer's family. This young man will lead you back there." Lillianna motioned for the young man to lead on.

    Eternal Harvest [CLOSED] SnopyAE_zps1054f6b7

Hacil reiterated something that Snopy had been, quite frankly, unconscious for. He had no idea she said it, but he also had no idea she had saved his life with her power in the first place. There was plenty of room to be wrong. She even shot him a glare. "Oh don't I?" He said, storing that little one in his back pocket. People tend to expect a return for their kindness sooner or later, he'd just balance it out before he was needed for something that'd be bad for him. After she was healed, she confirmed that she felt better, but she was afraid to lay on her back. "Considering how you yelped earlier, I'm not surprised. I'm still feeling a little stiff, but otherwise I'm fine." When Snopy brought up the lack of Arcana Hacil of course felt the compulsive urge, as usual, to counter him. She began to mention that just because he couldn't something someone else could that he wasn't useful. A giant grin formed internally for Snopy, welp. "You should remember that next time you look at Elwyn." He didn't know the full extent of Hacil's feelings there, but she had NOT kept that she felt inferior to Elwyn well hidden.

Once Elwyn was healed up, Lillianna told them they were free to stay at the Guild Hall, but to be careful. Yeah, no kidding. Two days passed. Snopy was basically back to full function, and the day prior he even made a trip to his old home, making sure to grab a few possessions with sentimental value. Nothing hard to carry, most of it was stuff he could fit in a pocket or a travel bag. Some things he used to remember his mother and sister by mostly. He already noticed one thing, after the immense pain all that running caused him, once it subsided he felt much lighter on his feet. Maybe it was just the pain, but odds were the exercise made him stronger, since he didn't get pushed to the point where he'd fall apart. He could have slept in his own bed, but he figured it'd be better to watch over the girls. With money he had picked up here and there, some from the old caravan job that started this nonsense, some from odds and ends he sold off once he found them traveling, his home was most certainly secure. He figured he'd need to come back sooner or later, may as well have a bed. He had quite a few crossbow bolts, but he decided to also by some more with some of the leftover. This left him a little low, meaning he'd need to acquire more money sooner or later.

It was two days later that he overheard Lillianna talking to Hacil. "This is your time to repay this guild for what we have done for you. Please, I need you to aid the farmer's family. This young man will lead you back there." This was his chance, and once again Snopy gained that internal grin. "Need some help?" He came up silent as can be from behind Hacil, and then just said that normal volume. He almost hoped she jumped up startled. He kept a straight face for now. "This is my chance to...repay you, for all you've done." As he finished the statement a physical grin formed on his face, wide as can be. Snopy had his crossbow at his back, and his sword at his hip, so he was already armed anyway. "Nothing you can say will stop me from helping you, so don't even let that be a thought in your head." The grin widened, before he turned to the man who was supposed to lead and returned to serious mode. "Lead on."

Hacil looked away from Snopy when he spoke up about Elwyn. No, it's different. The only way I'm useful is to be like Elwyn. Hacil wanted to say that, but Nilani being so close forced her to not. She just looked pained. "Thank you, Miss Aranhartte." Hacil kept stroking Nilani's hair. It was so soft, even now. Hacil never had that kind of luck with her hair, although no one really taught her how to properly care for it either. "I don't think I'll leave then. I tend to make people angry no matter where I go..."

Hacil kept Nilani close during the next couple of days. She'd even go with Nilani to the bathroom, especially after seeing the looks around the guild hall. Hacil would snarl back at anyone who made a vocalized complaint of disgust, and she'd just glare at the others who were smarter and kept their mouths shut. Hacil might thank Lillianna for her hospitality, but the moment any of these round-ears tried anything... Hacil would turn them to ash. The few times Hacil was alone, she'd spend it right next to Elwyn, staring at her sister. Every time she heard someone coming for the infirmary, she'd get away.

The third day came, and Lillianna called out to Hacil as talk of bandits came into the guild hall. Hacil was doing stretches to make sure her back was normal again. It was almost perfect, just a little stiff in some places. "If it'll clear our debt, sure." Hacil wasn't one to really care about the "right" thing to do. "Sn—" Hacil turned around to see Snopy already prepping for joining her—by being right behind her. She didn't yelp, but she did take a step back. He was lucky he didn't get fireballed. "Need some help?" Hacil let out an audible pout as he continued.

"Then don't fall behind, and don't let that be a thought in your head." You stubborn bastard. Hacil smiled back and then wrapped an arm around Nilani. "Nilani, you're coming too." Hacil stepped closer to Lillianna and whispered to her. "I'd rather keep my own eye on her. With some of the looks we've been getting, I'd just feel better that way." Hacil nodded and stepped back. "Alright... farmer... dude... guy, lead the way." The guy was a little surprised at who was being sent—a scantily-clad elf with a big-ass stick, a blond guy with a crossbow and a sword, and a loli elf that looks so innocent and pure. He prayed for the farmer's safety—and his own.

Since there were a few nice people in the guild, Nilani was able to ask a few questions that weren't replied to with hostility. She learned a bit about the guild hall, being in a guild, the cities history, and the cities people. She was always the curious type and she was pretty fascinated by what she had learned. It was the only way she could be entertained while here. At other times, she would talk with Hacil and get to know Snopy better. It was during lunch on the next day that Nilani noticed something and her own heart sank. She said nothing about in fear of him getting mad, but she did mention his forgotten pet to Hacil when she knew that Snopy wasn't close enough to hear. Nilani felt so incredibly guilty about it that she ended up avoiding Snopy for the rest of the time here. Everyone was in such a rush to save her that Ahri had been left behind. When this was realized, Nilani stopped talking.

"Wait, what?" were the first words Nilani spoke when Hacil turned to her after Lillianna's request. She was pulled closer to her sister and very confused. "H-Hacil... I-I don't fight... I'm gonna get in your way." Nilani said as Hacil went up to Lillianna. Lillianna gave an understanding nod to Hacil and then looked to Nilani, "You'll be fine, dear. Just go with your sister; I'm sure she'll be less worried if you're there." Nilani gave a short nod and went along with Hacil and Snopy, though she was obviously reluctant to it. They were led by the young man who delivered the message and had to run behind him to keep up. As they neared the farm area outside of the main city walls, there were many onlookers watching in horror as some of the buildings had already been set on fire, but not the farmers home. An older man was begging them to stop and a middle aged man wanted his kids back.

There were a total of thirteen men. Most of them were armed with normal swords, two of them with crossbows, but five of them had Arcane Weaponry. The leader was a large man with enchanted armor that allowed him resistance to electricity. He was currently forcing a young woman, the farmers wife, to stand by his side and kept holding her in a way that would make her a shield at the same time. The other men were all gathering as much coin as they possibly could, hitting anyone who fought them.

    Eternal Harvest [CLOSED] SnopyAE_zps1054f6b7

Snopy had noticed Nilani's sudden avoidance of him over the last day or so, and would get around to asking her at some point.  Still, once Hacil told him not to fall behind he couldn't help but grin again.  "TECHNICALLY if I'm using the crossbow, I should be behind everyone.  Unless you expect me to thwack people over the head with it."  He shook his head, before turning to Nilani.  "When we're done here, we need to talk."  He stated before going with the young man.  This ended up being proof of his muscle building as running to keep up was surprisingly easier than it would have been a few weeks prior.  What he arrived to was not the best scene.  "Hey is this the- ohhhhh it's already on fire."  He observed the scene.  Some of them were armed a little dangerously, and had hostages.  Well this was a fine way for them to arrive.  Assessing the situation, there wasn't too much room for stealth.  If crossbows were more accurate at the same range as a longbow, he'd be able to try and snipe the bandit using the woman as a shield from a distant hill.  He wasn't proficient with a longbow though, nor did he even have one. There was nothing he could do about the fire, so he disregarded that. If he tried to stop it himself while the bandits were alive, they'd end up killing him. They needed to be dispatched properly first. Snopy turned to Hacil. "I don't know what specifically, but I think they're using arcane weaponry. Hacil, I think I know how to deal with the one who is using that woman as a shield, but we need his idiots thinned out first." He didn't try to take a shot at him, cause by the time they got in effective range for the crossbow he could easily throw the woman in front of the bolt. Instead, he got down low and snuck towards one of the men who was distracted robbing a little old lady of what little she had. He had already pulled the crossbow from his back, and it was loaded up and the safety switch was off. He got up fairly close before one of the other bandits shouted to get the man's attention, well it was now or never. He pulled the trigger, shooting a bolt right into the man's jugular vein. Wait seriously? You gotta shoot em in the head, and he hit the jugular again. The man tried coughing up blood, but the bolt blocking his throat as also blocking all flow of air and liquid through his throat. With a slight gurgle the man dropped.

Snopy jumped to his feet, jumping back just before a crossbow bolt flew straight through his foot. Crossbows were medium ranged weapons, so he was safe for a little bit from an easy shot. He turned over to Hacil. "Things are gonna get hot really fast." He turned, looking towards his soon to be opponents as he waved his hand at the old woman as if to say "Get away, run the hell away, DO IT DAMN IT." Snopy backed up, a second bolt whizzing past him. This was his chance. "Hacil cover me!" He dropped down, knowing the first man who fired was still reloading, as well as the second having used his bolt. He began the process of reloading the crossbow, which would take approximately 2-5 times the time of someone loading a longbow. Still, he should be fairly safe if Hacil covered him. As soon as he finished, he ended up having to jump back to dodge another bolt. A small number of the men armed with melee weapons were charging towards him, some of which would divert their attention had Hacil covered him properly and would go for her. Snopy quickly raised his crossbow, but one of the men was way closer than he expected. He jumped, ending up pulling the trigger...and jugular. Point blank jugular shot again. Seriously? SERIOUSLY?! Snopy didn't have time to question it though as some of the men finally got within melee range, and Snopy had to quickly return his crossbow to his back and draw his blade. He blocked one of the men's swords barely, but here was the fun part. He hadn't gotten proper practice with a sword, but crossbows took little skill to fire decently. If he couldn't regain his range, those 2 kills would be his only kills. Unless you include Snopy himself, he very well could get himself killed. He was parrying all of the blows, should none of the men diverge to deal with Hacil he'd be doing so quite desperately. If Hacil hadn't yet intervened he'd add a "I could use some help here" to the other sounds coming from his mouth. If Hacil had distracted enough of them though, Snopy wouldn't be in as bad a spot. Either way he'd call out to Hacil. "I haven't had much time to practice with this sword, I need to find a chance to reload this crossbow!" With one parry he'd end up grazing a man's arm, a small cut ripping into his shirt. "YOU BASTARD, THAT WAS MY FAVORITE SHIRT!" Seriously? His favorite shirt. Snopy jumped back to a medium range when they all had to reorganize because of the cluster they made. "Who the hell raids a farm in their favorite shirt? This is why you only wear your SECOND favorite shirt on a B&E."

"For once, something is on fire and it's not my fault." That was Hacil's only comment as she entered the farm. She drew her Jatahl from her back, ready to bash in anything that jumped out at her. Thirteen of them. Meh, not much. "Nilani, I want you to keep a lookout. If you see anyone trying to sneak up on us, yell at us." Hacil patted Nilani on the shoulder and was on her way down to kick some ass when Snopy spoke up. "Tactics shmactics." She did wait though. She wasn't going to be too rude.

When Snopy gave a pun—at least it was in Hacil's mind—she just grinned. "Finally!" Hacil stepped a little bit away from the group. She focused, and a wall of plasma fifteen feet tall burst up around her. It was enough to catch people's attention. Hacil would jab at those that charged at her or Snopy. She was damn good with the Jatahl, and each hit was enough to knock the wind out of an unarmored opponent. She didn't start shooting small bursts of plasma until Snopy seemed to get a little too focused.

This burned off an old man's beard and chapped his lips. He screamed as he fell backwards, nearly breaking his hip in the process. If he were in Zakat, he might have had LifeAlert. But he wasn't in Zakat. Hacil continued bashing people's stomachs in as they foolishly came close to her. Her adrenaline was punping. She flinched when a crossbow dug into her left arm. It hurt. But Hacil just smiled and ripped the thing out. She stared at the man who fired at her, lit the bolt on fire. and tossed it back at him. It didn't hit him, and instead landed at his feet. The fear of seeing that followed by her self-cauterizing her own arm with her thumb was enough to cause him to drop the crossbow. Hacil soon bashed that man's ribs in.

The bandit leader was staring right at the elf, and would not notice another person sneaking up on them. "Hey, fatass." Hacil pointed one of the Jatahl's ends at the leader. "Yeah, I'm talking to you tortoise-face." The man actually didn't look anything like a tortoise. "So scared of a little Elf that you have to hide behind an old round-ear like that? 'Cause you just like a big pussy to me. Can't even fight, can you?" Hacil was doing what she could to get the guy to charge at her, and she had prepared herself with another plasma wall. She'd melt him as he got close.

"If you actually think that's going to work, you're dumber than you look." The man snapped back, realizing full well what Hacil was trying to do. "If you don't stop this shit, I'm going to gut this bitch." Hacil sighed. "Listen, fatass. Even if you kill her, you're not getting out of this alive. But looks like you've got too much lard in your brain to understand that. So maybe I'll just have to fry it out for you." Hacil covered her hand on fire and pointed it right at the man. "It'll only hurt for a second." She grinned, and the farmer screamed in horror. Thankfully, Hacil wasn't going to fire. She was just buying time for Snopy.

    Eternal Harvest [CLOSED] SnopyAE_zps1054f6b7

Hacil did well in providing Snopy cover fire, the heat taken off of him ironically enough. After several of them got fried or the wind knocked out of them, Snopy just took the chance and sliced open the nearest bandit to him. The others were either on fire or gasping for breath, so he quickly dispatched of them too, save for one who sliced at him and he got thrown off by the hurricane force wind that came from the attack. So it was enchanted, Snopy was just guessing before. He landed on his ass, but as he tried to get back up it happened again. And again. If he didn't get up he'd just be juggled until he died. As the man slashed again, Snopy rolled to the side and decided to throw his crossbow right at the man. Yes, the crossbow. Smacking the man in the face, Snopy ran up and finally gave the man his final breath. Right now there were still 2 problems. One of the crossbowmen was still standing, and thus, still a threat. If he hit either of them while they were focused on the leader, then there might be a problem. However, the leader had a hostage. If he didn't take the first chance he had to end him, the woman might suffer. So he had a decision to make. Protect the woman, or protect his flank.

Well, none of the bolts hit him yet. Perhaps he'd still be as lucky, protecting the woman was the decision. He hadn't told Hacil the plan, so when she charged up that plasma he began to get worried. No, Hacil don't do what I think you're gonna do. Still, this was his shot, the man was thoroughly occupied. This was his shot. Snopy ducked down, sneaking through some wheat that hadn't been trampled or burned yet. Slipping up behind the leader, he got JUST in range where he should be able to pin a bolt right through the back of the man's skull. Bullseye. His finger tensed and the firing mechanism popped. The bandit collapsed without a word. How could he? He was struck THROUGH the spinal chord and...right in the throat again. Snopy facepalmed, seriously? He really needed to aim over their heads from now on.

Snopy then turned quickly to see the remaining crossbowman. Time to...dodge? Wait the crossbowman wasn't even looking at him, he was looking... Snopy followed the apparent gaze to see...you have got to be kidding. "Son of a bitch, Hacil!" He shouted as he jumped to his feet, dropping the crossbow, and as he got close jumped into a tackle. He tackled Hacil, and in the process took a bolt straight to the back as she got forced backwards. Unless she somehow dodged, he'd land on top of her, blood now trickling out of his back. Yep, he was injured again. The scream of pain as the bolt made contact made that obvious. If Hacil looked up, she'd see the look of pain on his face. When he realized he was on her, he'd try to roll off of her, but inadvertently he'd push the bolt deeper into his back as he tried. He almost jumped with a scream before just laying on the ground on his stomach. It narrowly avoided a major artery, so he wasn't going to bleed profusely enough to just die, but either way he was not in good shape. Please tell me there aren't more of them. Is all Snopy could say. If more danger arrived he would not be able to help at all in this condition. Still, this left a burning farm, and injured Snopy, a living bandit, and with how this fight had gone only god knows what else could go wrong.

Hacil dispelled her own plasma bolt and looked over to Snopy. "Good. I was worried I might ha—" Hacil was interrupted and tackled to the ground. She felt the dirt and rock dig into her skin, and she was pissed. "What's the big idea, man?!" She hadn't heard his scream of pain. But when she looked up, she did see his pain. Their position was a little odd, and almost cliche. But Hacil only raised an eyebrow in concern. He rolled off, and Snopy let out another sound of pain, which Hacil did hear. "Snopy...?"

As Hacil leaned up to see Snopy now beside her, her eyes wandered until she saw the bolt. Goddammit. "You fucking idiot." Hacil swore in Elven, and then began to panic. What should she do? What could she do? Hacil wasn't a genius when it came to healing, but she did know the basic concepts. That bolt was going to stop the bleeding, but it was a pain in the ass to contend with. If it shifted, he could be in really, really bad shape. "Shit... Shit... Shit!"

Hacil's ears folded back in concern, and she looked around for any idea on helping him. "What should I do... what should I do...? Elwyn, what should I do?!" Hacil's voice cracked as she spoke and repeated "What should I do?" over and over. That's when Hacil's eyes met the man still holding a crossbow. He raised it at Hacil, but he was too slow as Hacil shot off a large bolt of plasma at him. It boiled him arms as it neared, and then they turned into a bloody, gory slag. Hacil took the time, tears in her eyes, to run up to him. And then, Hacil began to punch the man in the face. Over and over. Eventually, his skull was concave, but she continued to punch. She didn't know what to do otherwise...

The scene was actually about what Nilani had expected when they arrived. Hacil told her to stay behind and watch their backs as they took care of the situation and she agreed, but things changed. The bandits were being taken out one by one and becoming more and more distracted. Nilani took this chance to sneak over to the citizens of Aria and sneak them off. The less people that were in the way, the better. She got as many of them out of the way as possible, looking back to the fight every now and then to make sure that Hacil and Snopy weren't being snuck up on. Of course, with her doing this she could easily miss something. It was luck that she had not. She got as many people to safety and quickly returned to the scene. Hacil was distracting the fat man with insults and giving time for Snopy to sneak up on him. Their teamwork was surprisingly good for people who never trained together.

Back in the Aria Grand Guild Hall, Elwyn woke up with one other person in the room, Lillianna. She glanced around, unsure of where she was or how much time had passed her by. She felt well rest and much of her Anima had returned. She pushed herself upwards and looked around and then to the white haired woman that sat at a desk across the room. "You've finally woken up." Lillianna spoke with a smile, standing up and walking over to the silent and confused Elwyn, "I am Lillianna Aranhartte, Guild Master of Aria Grand. You, your sisters, and your friend were brought here by a few of the members of my guild for healing, but your Anima was so low that you have been asleep for the past two days." Elwyn kept silent, but when the time had been mentioned, she looked to Lillianna with slightly widened eyes. "I assume you're wondering where your friends are?" Elwyn nodded.

"As repayment for aiding you all, I have asked them to rid the farms on the outside of the gates of a few bandits that were attacking." As Lillianna was explaining, Elwyn stood up and looked around the room. She held a curious demeanor, but serious and cautious as well. Lillianna watched Elwyn walk around the infirmary as she explained. "So they went to help save the people... that..." Lillianna tilted her head to the side and changed the subject, "Are you alright?" Elwyn stepped over to the door and looked out into the Aria Grand Main Hall. As the question was asked, she looked back to Lillianna with a half-angry half-annoyed look in her eyes. "Where exactly is this farm?" Elwyn finaly spoke up and Lillianna stood up from the desk and pointed out the door and to the left, "You'll see the city gate. I'm sure once you step out of it, you'll see exactly where your sisters have gone."

Elwyn took no time. She darted out of the Guild Hall and to the left like Lillianna had instructed. "Someone's in trooouuuble." Lillianna said with a giggle, watching Elwyn vanish into Aria. Elwyn rushed through the gates and to the scene at hand. She could see the smoke raising from a few buildings and sighed in annoyance. At this time, Nilani was watching Snopy. The final crossbowman was still standing and Snopy started running toward Hacil. Nilani turned to see that crossbowman was about to shoot her sister and started running as well, but was no way near close enough. "HAACCIIILLL!" Nilani screamed at the top of her lungs, reaching out to her sister as the bolt was fired. Snopy was able to tackle her out of the way, taking the hit for Hacil and Nilani slid to a stop in shock. Her jaw dropped and she started running again, dropping to her knees and sliding to a stop beside them.

"Careful, careful!" Nilani did her best to help Snopy get off of Hacil. Elwyn started walking toward them, able to hear Hacil panic. "Calm down. The Master can heal him. She will, right?" Nilani said, doing her best to hold Snopy up so he would not fall or lay on his back, but would be able to relax a bit. Hacil began asking herself what to do and shocked the living shit out of Elwyn when she heard Hacil call for her advice. This stopped Elwyn in her tracks for a moment, but she continued toward them when Hacil suddenly charged the last man and began beating the bastards face in. Elwyn looked worriedly at her sister and began walking up behind Hacil. Nilani could see her coming and looked up to Elwyn with wide eyes and a growing smile. "You make sure the wound does not get any worse." Elwyn set a hand on Hacil's shoulder and knelt down next to her to stop her from continuing to beat the man, "You know your limits, get him to someone who you know can and will help, and you trust them to do their job. We aren't healers." Elwyn smiled softly and placed a quick kiss on Hacil's forehead.

"Now..." Elwyn stood up and took a deep breath, "Let's not let these homes completely burn..." Elwyn closed her eyes and raised her head and arms. Within moments a large glob of water formed over everyone's head. Some villagers began to panic while others looked on in awe. A few drops began to fall and then a few more, and then a few more. It practically began raining over the farm lands as Elwyn recycled the water in the air, on the ground, and in two nearby wells to put the fires out. About thirty seconds passed and the water had taken out all of the fires. Elwyn imitated an explosion with her hands, causing the water she had collected to immediately evaporate. "There..." Elwyn said and looked down to Hacil, Snopy, and Nilani, "Let's get him to a doctor..." Nilani stood up and hugged Elwyn, "Let's take him back to Lillianna. She'll be able to heal him." Elwyn just smiled, "Nice job you three."

    Eternal Harvest [CLOSED] SnopyAE_zps1054f6b7

Nilani had tried to once again rescue Hacil, but this time she was lucky enough to not get there first.  Or unlucky enough depending on the point of view.  Being aided off of Hacil minimized how much deeper the bolt ended up being lodged into her.  Actually her gentle aid managed to minimize the pain, and he indeed relaxed a bit more than he would have otherwise.  "Thank you Nilani."  When Hacil started to freak out.  "Hey Hacil, just...ahu...relax.  Calm do-"  He didn't finish the pained statement before the bandit became a crushed skull and some slag.  He couldn't believe how...crazy she just got.  Surprisingly emotional from what he could make out.  Nilani allowed him to sit up as he saw Elwyn coming.  He smiled best he could.  "You're alive, thank god."  He said, glad she was finally confirmed to be fine.  The scene before them was a sweet scene.  Granted Snopy didn't understand just how much that peck on the forehead meant as he still had yet to know the history between those girls.

He just did slow controlled breaths as Elwyn proceeded to put out the fires.  Once again, she left Snopy thoroughly impressed.  He turned to Hacil as the four regrouped.  "Calm down.  I'll be...sssst, fine.  I don't think it hit an artery or an organ or anything.  Admittedly I'm impressed."  He looked Hacil straight in the eye.  "I never told you my plan...was to catch him from two sides so he couldn't use that woman as a shield.  Yet it worked perfectly...though I did see that crossbowman to the side...shame that I had to decide between saving that woman and protecting our flank."  Snopy pointed to his weapons which were on the ground back a ways.  "If someone could grab those for me..."  He would wait until someone went to pick him up and aid him as they treked all the way back to Aria Grand. He would turn to Elwyn once up. "Great job as usual I see." Snopy let out an aye yie yie as they began to walk. "Life isn't boring around you ladies, I can say that much." From there they went to Aria Grand.

The moment Elwyn's hand touched her shoulder, Hacil stopped punching the man. Her sister was alive! Granted, Hacil knew she'd pull through. Elwyn is perfect, after all. Hell, look at her timing. Hacil did her best to keep from smiling and crying. She did well on the second part of that, but her face was warm with a smile as her sister kissed her forehead. "Thanks..." Was the last thing Hacil said, albeit quietly, before heading back to Aria Grand.

    And then...

Hacil was glad her arm didn't have a gaping hole in it anymore, thanks to Lillianna's healing magic. "Thanks again for healing me... I normally don't get hurt this much." Hacil rubbed the spot where she was shot. Hacil stood up from the bed, and walked over to Nilani first. She hugged her little sister tightly. "I heard you helped get the villagers away. You did good work there." She patted Nilani's head.

It was then a spark rose in Hacil's mind. She remembered something important, and she looked over to Elwyn. Her eyes shook for a moment—a bit of fear coming into them. She swallowed. "So... I... The reason why I was in that forest... Where I met Snopy and Nilani was shot... The reason why... I was there..." Hacil inhaled deeply. "I have a lead... on our other sister. I might know where Nahbe is."

Hacil let the shock get out of everyone's system before she continued. "Some folks on a tavern were commenting on a strange blonde girl they met on a ship bound for Cieria. She was sweet, clumsy, and brightened the day of everyone there. She seemed to not know much about the world, and they also said that she had a massive chest," although Hacil didn't mention that she asked how big her breasts were. "But they said it was her eyes that made her look pretty. They said they were just like mine, but green. They didn't get her name, but... I described Nahbe to them, and it matched almost perfectly. I really think it's her..."

Upon hearing what Hacil had to say, Nilani's eyes widened in shock. She looked to Elwyn to see what her oldest sister would have to say, but there was no change in expression. Elwyn stayed silent for a moment before closing her eyes and nodding. "Great work." Elwyn said sincerely, "Tomorrow... We move for Cieria."
