Personality: There is a calmness within and about Julius. It is the calmness of knowing what your fate will be after death. It is the acceptance of that inevitability, but the want to continue living. It makes him seem aloof and somewhat distant, but anyone who speaks more than a hello to him will know that is far from the truth. Julius keeps himself calm so to spread the word of his religion as well as to keep focused for a fight. He is one that preaches peace before violence, but that does not mean he is against violence as a solution. He just would rather not use such a thing. Julius is an Arcanite. Arcanites are those that worship Arcana like other people worship deities. They worship the "flow of life and time," which they believe to be one in the same with Arcana. They do not worship Arcanists, Elves, or even Elder Dragons. They think them no better than a non-Arcanist.

Julius's religion helps guide him through his daily life, and he tries to convert his friend Jaden. It hasn't worked yet, but he will still continue to work on his friend. Julius is like his friend in one way though. Women seem to like him. However, Julius has problems with women. Most of them are too domineering or mushy-gushy over him all at once. It, frankly, freaks him out. Jaden has saved his friend many a times from dick-craving harlots. Julius is the type to serenade a woman outside of her window. He has tried to get Jaden to learn an instrument so he could accompany Julius as he recited poetry at his target. But of course, it's hard to find a woman that can deal with how calm, yet religious Julius is.
Character Background: Julius had perhaps the most normal life a young man in a small cult could have. He was homeschooled, had no siblings, and he was taught about the wonders of Arcanism. As an Arcanite, he was taught that he had to spread the life of Arcana throughout the world. He was taught that Zakat, while hostile, was only misunderstanding Arcana due to its misuse. And Julius quickly learned of the dangers of misusing Arcana. When he was 15, Julius's camp was attacked. The attackers were Arcanists, and they demanded "tribute" for using Arcana. And not a single person handed something to the bandits. His father explained that they were misusing Arcana, and they are not to be looked up to. In fact, Arcanists were not to be worshipped at all. Only Arcana itself was worth reverence. As the bandits began killing everyone, Julius was given a horse and told to leave. Julius became a mercenary eventually, and he worked on spreading Arcanism. He rode a horse for most of his life, becoming a cavalryman while working as a mercenary. After meeting Jaden Heskett, he began to travel with his newfound best friend.

Magic

Type: Arcanist
Description: Julius's power is both incredibly strong and weak at the same time. Julius has perhaps one of the most situational Arcani to exist. He has a rather strong connection to Arcana itself, and he can understand it perhaps better than anyone. His ability allows him to interfere with incoming Arcana. This makes him weak against non-Arcanists or those with weak or self-enhancing powers. But those spell-slinging mages are his perfect prey. With a flick of his wrist, he can move an Arcane bolt away from him. He can part it like Moses did the Red Sea. Julius can do this by "seeing" the patterns and waves of Arcana. This allows him to see Arcanists within a crowd as well. However, this sight depends on the strength of the Arcana. A weaker Arcanist will look differently than a stronger one. The same goes for the Arcana itself. He is more able to manipulate a strong burst of Arcana than a weak one. Sending a massive fireball towards him is not the right idea. Sending a small icicle is.

No matter what, he can't manipulate the Arcana within something. Only when Arcana is released in some form outside of a body can it be manipulated. Thus, the Anima within Elves is off-limits. However, any expression of their Anima that is outside of their body can be manipulated. Draconic Arcana is affected like normal Arcana, but because of its raw and powerful nature, it can be unpredictable.


Combat

Equipment: Julius has a large sword. It's around 6 feet long, which makes it usually unwieldy. The sword is actually an overly-large cavalry sword. The sword is meant to be used on horseback. It is made out of a unique alloy of Void Steel and Aeon Steel. This means that it works as an Arcane lightning rod. Uncontrolled Arcana is drawn towards the sword. The sword then acts as a grounding agent and will dispserse the Arcana.

Skills: Julius is an expert swordsman, but his main skill is horseback riding. He can break just about any horse within a day. He can fight on horseback just as easily as many people fight on their feet.
