First Year: To enroll, a student will take an Arcana Possession Test to prove they have innate Arcana within them. If they do not, they will be put in non-Arcana based classes. In their first year, students are required to learn the history of Arcana and the Arcane Arts. They will learn the History of the Founding Arcanists and study the basic usage and creation of arcane items that you see in every day life. The students will have a mid-term and an end of the year final, both of which they will have to pass to continue to the next year.
Second Year: In a students second year, they will be required to take a "Development of Arcana Control" class. This class will help them learn to control their Arcana so spells to not blow up in their face. If their Arcana is already inclined toward something, they will move on to study their own Arcana and learn to control it as well. However, a student without the automatic inclination toward a certian type of Arcane Art will be allowed to take a special "Arcana Customization" class, which will allow them to psuh their Arcana into a desired direction. Sometime during the end of the second year, students will all be approached to set up their third year at Rydian.
Third Year: The third year will focus their studies enough to allow them to create a better future for themselves. During the third year in class, students will branch out into a more specified way of study. Students who wish to become adventurers will take classes like geography, history, tracking, archery, animal training, and food preparing classes to allow them to survive. Students who wish to become teachers will take the more common math, science, history, physical education, english, and basic Arcana knowledge classes.
Fourth Year: The fourth year is the most important of them all and is really only six months. The first half of the year (6 months) a student continues to study in their major and then graduates. During the last six months, students take on an optional and final test called RST (Rydian Standardized Test), which will allow employers and other people to see the skills of those graduating. This test is a show of knowledge and skill. Guildmasters often come around from Arcadia to take a look at the new graduates and get first pickings of the strongest, smartest, and most skilled students.
Fifth Year: (Only if becoming teacher)
Learning how to apply your own learning to teaching other students. With this a person is also learning the rules of the school, the curriculum, and how to deal with students. There are a psychology classes, organization lessons, and after classes are over, the highest grading students may get offered a job at Rydian. If they accept, they take the job on as a paid student teacher and work alongside another professor for a year before getting their own class. (6 month class)
Special Classes: There are two special classes at Rydian and both are extremely difficult to get into. Not because everyone wants them, but because very little people have these kinds of magic. The first is healing. Healing Arcana is the most rare type of Arcana there is. So much so, that the classroom hasn't been visited since last Lillianna Cascella visited for a mere lecture. Rydian doesn't evne hire someone for this class until a student shows up. The second class is Enchantment. Enchanting is one of the best paying jobs in Arcadia. If you're an enchanter, you've got life made for you, but this type of Arcana is almost as rare as healing.
Uniform: Take your pick! Your character could be in either of these.
